We never said that...
Of course making the battery/mem stick won't brick your PSP. But if you then run it agian, it should downgrade to the 1.50 subset.
Or brick and unbrick whatever you want to think of it as.
If you brick your PSP, you can use it to unbrick, it will also work as many times as you want, any PSP.
PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

No, the battery, whilst in "Pandora state" will not be able to operate normally, if you want to keep the pandora battery for future use, you will need two batteries.

DAmn, props to the Prometheus team!
p.s. You cannot use the same 'modified' battery. Im not sure about the memory stick. After all that, you cant use a 32mb duo either. Who would need one anyway!? haha
You are an idiot, a pure idiot.. and the fact you sold your semi-bricked PSP on ebay is enough to prove what a dumbass you are. But that's not why I am pissed at you, i laugh at your stupidity, but I am 12 years old and started hacking my PSP at 11, and never have I ran into any trouble once, and complained and moaned about it... so pick your words wisely...

Sorry Guys,
Can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong? I cannot get this exploit to run right. GTA lcs starts and then the game crashes the psp????? I have all the files in the right places but maybe I have the wrong copy of GTA lcs. I have the "ULUS 100041. UPDL 004850" which is why I bought it. I did check to see if this was the version I needed, and was told it was the version I needed? If this is not the right version please let me know. Or if there is something else that is wrong let me know.
Thank you so much,

Wtf? This thread is about Pandora's Battery. This doesn't use any exploits or umds to unbrick or downgrade. If you want to find out more, go here.

ok you help me and I help you. do you have the msiple.bin in the root of your memstick? and I couldnt get the formatter to work but I skipped it and still got all the files on it cuz I took them from the easy installer. ok my problem is that mine doesnt say load IPL code msipl.bin like yours. IT says something about a ipl_block_file.

thats does not help me...
sounds like you don't know much about command...but as with saying the ipl block file is because u didnt open the program right n it was telling u fow to do it. This is how i did it. I downloaded it and put all 5 folder/files in a folder called pandora and placed it in C Drive. Then i opened up command prompt and typed this
C:\pandora\msinst\msinst.exe g msipl.bin
"So C:\pandora\msinst\" is navigating to the folder where the program is
msinst.exe is the program
"g" is your PSP drive letter
"msipl.bin" is the ipl block file
As with formating the PSP memory stick, if u have the files on C Drive like i did. it goes like this
C:\pandora\mspformat\mspformat.exe g
again the g is the PSP drive, mine is G.

hey, you know how it is preferred to not convert the battery back to normal once you are done with it (best to leave a spare/doing so may cause problems in the future). If you set your pandora battery aside, when you actually need to use it how do you recharge? It will lose power sooner or later. I have no plans to convert mine back to normal but I'm just wondering how everyone is dealing with this.

Back to the battery to normal like PANDORA battery --- Normal battery ,
Done this steps and your battery back to Normal .
1)Turn on your psp with PSP charger not with battery only use charger.
2)When you psp started with charger then insert magic MS and Pandora battery .
3)Go to the XBM and run "Pandora Battery creator"
4)On creator ,press L+R on same time to restore eeprom .
Then your battery back to the NOrmal. But i read somewhere its create many side effects so please carefull about your PSP .

@boafan - To recharge your battery just follow the first two steps of what decent said:
1)Turn on your psp with PSP charger not with battery only use charger.
2)When you psp started with charger then insert magic MS and Pandora battery

no I know how to convert it back to normal, but like the concerns some people raised it is probably not a good idea so I was asking how would you recharge it while it is in "pandora" state.
Should I just start psp with charger plugged in, and then put the pandora battery in and let it charge without turning the psp off (if you do, then it will bring up recovery screen).

You can do that, or when it comes time to recharge-just insert the "battery" and plug in the charger so the orange light comes on...Thats what I did, and it seemed to charge ok-because the orange light went off when it was done, and then I checked it via the psp menu...(You would have to power up your psp with just the charger plugged in, and then insert the battery to check it's status.)

hey thanks guys I got it =D I have some mixed answers going through all the walkthroughs over the 1.5 "subset" FW that pandora installs... for those of you who got it to work (and there are many), maybe you can verify this.
It is true that after the psp is restored using pandora, just power down (hold power until it goes off), swap in a normal battery and power on. Then install the kxploitpatcher, and you can install M33? I remember some people had to upgrade to an official, then downgrade to 1.5, THEN upgrade to custom firmware but on qj this tutorial says
"Minimal subset? Can I install custom firmware? As stated above, replace your normal battery and restart the PSP so that you've loaded the full 1.5 firmware from flash0 into memory; then you can do as you see fit."
Also, the readme talks about IDStorage and says "The IDStorage cannot be totally restored, as there is no known way to regenerate it properly. They're talking about if you bricked due to a corrupted idstorage. If nothing bad has ever happened to your idstorage, you can safely ignore this note." What happens if something bad did happen to your idstorage? I've never messed around with custom xmbs, but nowhere does it say what to do if you get this error.
Finally, a post earlier talked about making a nand-backup (pandora menu). Is this necessary? Many walkthroughs don't mention this at all.
