Thanks for the guide. I'm going to do this manually so I know for sure that I put everything in the right place.

What I need confirmed is when you downgrade to the minimal subset 1.5 can you use kxploit to then run a M33 3.52 install. Basically so I can make an all in one package on the Pandora Pro Duo and not need a PC to do a CFW. Or do I have to go to 2.0 then back down to a FULL 1.5?

JigKick...
Of course, the actual JigKick is the Sony battery :)
http://www.consoleplay.info/sony-psp-unb...ed-the-jigkick/

What we make here is an alternative called the 'Pandora Battery' together with 'Magic Memory Stick'..but hey, I'll just go back in my box LOL

Hello all!!

Okay my problem is the msipl
do we still need to do the msint.exe??
I thought the whole msipl.bin file is the most important part of the process. Well when i tried it the old fashion way in the cmd it says something to the effect: too small to read sector (or something like that)

a quick question for you guys before i Unbrick the psp that I have.

I only have a 2 gig mspro duo and i wanna use it for regular psp use after unbricking... Is it possible? If so, then would a regular format revert is back to original form?

Thank you

I second Oners question. Can we just use a CFW install from this 1.5 subset or do you need to upgrade then downgrade again to 1.5 full.

I beleive touran should be able to answer this as he has stated that he bricked his PSP for fun to try this out. Well how did you go back to CFW Touran? Was it a straight install from the 1.5 subset?

This is the only question I have left and would like an answer before I try this on my friends PSP. He is at 3.51 official (sucks bought it like that)and I want to downgrade him but need to know how to install the CFW after using pandora.
Thanks for any info.

Well if you don't want to wait the 2.0 > 1.5 full is always available for you to do right now. Then you could go up to M33, OE or whatever. But I would agree if you just didn't want to deal with the hassle as that is why I am asking.

I'm patient I can wait. I would like to see if touran will answer as to how he did it. He has always had good advise on these forums and I have used his info on other projects and it has always been spot on.

So please if you are still following this thread touran tell us how you went back to CFW after using pandora.

@ddh
Yes as many have stated in this thread AND as touran22 pointed out in his Pandora Battery creation guide you can convert you pandora battery back to a regular battery. ddh do you not read? You asked this same question two pages ago and I replied as quoted below...

@ddh
This can in no way brick your PSP, as it does not write to flash.
And for your question three again read the guide in posted by touran22 on the first page of this thread. It clearly states how to downgrade...
Quote:
Usage:

- Insert Memory Stick into the PSP
- Remove power cord and insert the JigKick Battery into the PSP.
- A menu appears when the PSP boots. Follow the onscreen information
and instructions.
- Choose the option to downgrade to 1.5!
- That's it! have done!
Once your at the firmware 1.5 subset which you just recovered to then either upgrade to a full firmware 1.5 or upgrade to 2.0 and then downgrade to 1.5. From there install you custom firmware of choice.

@ovrfiend

Your question is one easily answered. After touran22 purposefully brick he used his jigkick and magic memorystick to recover to a minimal version of 1.5. From there touran22 either upgraded directly to firmware 1.5 or touran22 upgraded to lets say 2.0 and then downgraded to firmware 1.5. Then from firwmare 1.5 touran22 upgraded to the desired custom firmware.
I'm patient I can wait. I would like to see if touran will answer as to how he did it. He has always had good advise on these forums and I have used his info on other projects and it has always been spot on.

So please if you are still following this thread touran tell us how you went back to CFW after using pandora.

If you are using tourans easy installer than no.
The instuctions clearly state after install remove MS and disable usb connection. Execute "battery" application on the PSP to modify the battery. That's it you now have a JigKick Battery. He has done all the hard work for you. Just do as instructed and you can't go wrong. Also he does suggest to use mspformat for the initial format, thought he says any formatter should work.
Hope this helps.

@PeaInAPod

So you can just use the 1.50 update to get back to a full 1.50 from the 1.50 subset? Then there is really no need to goto 2.0 is there? This would just add steps. Just want to make sure cause I'm doing it for a friend and don't want to look like an @ss by not knowing exactly how before I attempt it. I like to be prepared. Thanks again for any help.

than find the CFW of your choice and install
