ive been having a problem with any dvd and dvd shrink for maybe over a year now. one day i updated my any dvd and it just stoped working with shrink. ive updated it recently about a month ago, but still dosent work i deleted everything off system and reloaded it and still nothing. it will analyze the disc and then start to back up maybe 30 seconds, sometimes less, then it says something like error copy right protection cannot continue. i tried it on old dvds that i have burned using the two programs together in the past and it still wont work. it only works if i copy a copy. then it dosent give me any problems. i use ripit4me now witch works for almost every movie and i love it, but i would like to use anydvd again it was faster. any idea why it stopped working and how i can fix it? (not too good with computers so break it down for me please.)

ok once u open the root menu
it will let u choose the dvd
once u click it should read the whole movie and then it will open into the dvd shrink
then choose backup

i think this is what vamsilak is saying to do, look at pic

but if you uncheck that option it will result in not having as good as picture quality when checked.

what ANYdvd version are you using?
the newer versions are suppose to work with shrink...you can also try CloneDVD too...it would be just as fast as if you use shrink

thanks for the pic i get it now, im not at my home computer now so i cant check the version but i know i updated it(any dvd) last month for sure, and i tested it again and still wont work, even for old movies it worked with before. i have shrink saved to a dvd with the rest of my programs. see our computer crashed almost year ago so i had to reload evrything then and the problem with the 2 programs was present way before the crash, and it still didnt work then. should i uninstall evrything again and re install again? it does work perfect on copies but not originals.

and another thing i don't know which movie u try to backup in shrink
usually
iwill keep 100%video
i will keep only english 5.1,dts,2channel w/subtitles

if i have these three options in english iwill choose 5.1 and dts
that will let me all other aiduo options like french/spanish crap

that will keep u away from some compression

you really only need to keep the AC3 5.1ch audio for the movie you can uncheck the rest...plus compression depends on if you do a full backup or movie only backup

also that deep analysis option is greyed out when the compression level is at 100%

and that is a pic of dvd shirnk 3.2, i just have a different color.

@boosbaby,
you can try CLoneDVD for free for 15 days i think, i am sure you will like it as most members say that and anydvd is the easiest, fastest combo to use, if your concerned about time.
