from reports posted here 321Gone does work with the newest release of the platinum version. Give it a whirl, I think you may be pleasently surprised. Only limitation is MultiLanguage.

Lol @ jrryb.. Hey good on you :) I have no intention of seeing that f**king screen anymore as well!

If there's no interruption in the Rip / Burn process there's no way to execute the program. Only thing I can suggest is not putting the blank DVD in the burner untill you have run 321Gone.

Andmerr
Is 321Gone still working for you on the Straight XCopy dude? You are the only documented case so far.

hi psidoc, still going strong, havent changed the settings, well i did change the settings once and well the screen backup came back so i went back to the steps that i posted to you and yep it still works but with the new clone dvd2 program out(sneek peek version) i have been using that a bit more than platinum ( 20 discs last night and not very much sleep).

How come i 'm the only documented case or is there something a rye in my version of the program that allows me to be able to get away with this.I HAVE Pm'd iceman24 with the way i did it but have not heard back as to if it worked for him.

Are there more installments on the way , like multi lingual etc.

have a nice day

RE: DVD X COPY Xpress
Anyone know what the last version #'s were before the striping of the ripper from Xpress. I am presently downloading 3.2.5.13, is this version with the ripper or the stripped version? I did notice that the last download was 5.4 meg and this one is 5.2 meg...

They are offering a stand-alone version of the ripper, but it will not work with 95, 98SE, or ME. What is the difference with this new version of the their ripper and our old "Smart Ripper 2.41"

Why not use DvdShrink and CloneDVD these tools are the best I would say to use another program can be used which is AnyDvd which has been updated numerous of times.I hate dvd x copy express and all of them because they leave that 321 studios message at the beginning and rip out all the menues and everything it aint worth using,it is a piece of shit for real. This is what you do right get DvdShrink use the automatic setting for ripping the .VOB files into a folder on your desktop. After you have done this open up CloneDVD and click on ISO burn. This will let you burn the whole folder which has all the .VOB files in it.This is pretty easy as shit if you think about it.If this seems complicated just use AnyDvd with CloneDVD and do a 1:1 copy and it will work because AnyDvd deletes the CSS protection when you have it running before you plug in your dvd to back up.

Hi guyz,

i have experienced something new... couple dayz back i downloaded Platinum ver. 4.0.4.15 and now when i burn any dvd, it "does not" showup any dvd backup screen. It burns EXACTLY like orignal dvd. I've downloaded this latest version from 321studio website, it requres user to register thier product before any download.

regards,

I would say dvd x copy compresses better than DVD Shrink, i have used shrink for a few dvds, and just think dvd x copy compresses better than shrink, plus shrink takes so much longer to use.and the best part about x copy is it gets straight in to the movie half the speacial featurs i see these days arnt worth looking at any way and just take away space ,which means it has to compress more.(dvd xcopy for me all the way)

I went to 321studio.com and clicked under support. Then there's option of download latest updage of Platinum but before you get to the download, it ask you to enter user name and password that came with the box plus your personal info (name, address, etc). After you complete that, it will take you to download page and that's where that latest version of Platinum (ver. 4.0.4.15) i found.

Hey there. Some very interesting and helpful things have been mentioned throughout the duration of this thread but i'd like to know this; I currently have the old 3.2.1 version and I was wondering if there is any need to upgrade to one of the latest versions? And if so, where can I obtain a copy because the official ftp servers seem to be down at the moment. Thanks.

Thanks, Are you sure your version still has the ripper.Looking on the 321 site & their press release I think all downloads new or updates are now ripper free.I use v4038 so I dont want to risk a so called upgrade to a non rip version. Cheers Ispy

What is the purpose of the program if it is ripper free? Just backing up movies with no copyright or what. I was just curious.

you can still install the ripper free version, it wont replace the old version .this can be done with dvd x copy, dvd x copy express and dvd platnium. the way 321 studios have done it allows you to run both version(ripper free and what ever version you had on there before) so you will have both the ripper free and the version with the ripper there to use ,dont uninstall the old version, what i have found is that if you want to make a copy off a ____ the ripper free version will copy dvds that where ripped with dvd x copy .this mite happen because it dosnt reconise the water mark. i have found the new version to be realy handy as it does things the ripper version dosnt .
