Just got my ps3 and i understand i can't charge the controller while the system is off, so im trying to use my cell phone charger but it wont work. Anyone have any ideas why? Its a charger for a Motorolla SLVR L7

I suggest trying to charge it through your PC instead. Just take the cord that connects it to the PS3, plug it into your computer, and charge it that way. I know that your phone has a mini-usb port, and I'm guessing that's how you charge it, but it might be because the charger was designed specifically for your phone and not for other devices. If all else fails, you can just charge it while you play.

I use my pc to charge my controllers and bluetooth when my playstation is off.
