PS3 a "Location Free TV" server?

Can the PS3 act as a Location Free server and stream live TV to a PSP like a Location Free base station can?

I'm asking because I'm buying a Location Free base station LFB-20 so I can stream live TV over my home wireless network to my PSP. If the PS3 can do the same, I figure I may as well spend the extra $300 and just get a PS3.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

After doing much too much reading last night, I discovered that this is not yet possible, but may be possible in the future with a TV add-on.

Can anyone tell me what their experiences have been using the PS3 to stream HDD content (Movies, music etc.) to their PSP over their home wireless network?

I'm really just trying to discover all I can about the media capabilities of the two.

I know that it will work for the PSP. Maybe when you set it up on the PS3, you can try to search for media servers in the video section, but not sure how it will go from there. But I have seen it in action with the PSP though. I would get one (location free) if it does one day work with the PS3.Not much of Tv watcher, but would watch more tv if I could get it to work on the PS3. Games internet and hopfully television. That wayI can forget about the lack of games compared to the other consoles.
