to both of you - are you 100% sure you are using the correct region image for your Wii? IE, PAL for europe etc.. ?

I'm positive that I'm using the correct region. I also verified that the original Gamecube discs are working with it. Wiikey's website had this to say about the 3.0 Wii update, "base and config discs will not load 'natively', neither will any other GC disc with El Torito standard header format". I'm not certain what that means exactly, but it sounds like backup disc that should load as a GC game won't load after the update.

I also tried freeloader for GC. It recognizes the disc as a GC disc, but gets an error when tryin to load. I'm not sure if that'd work on a wii anyway, but thought i'd give it a shot.

If anyone has any other ideas....please let me know.

what is your wii firmware ver. ? what the write speed you used to burn the backup disc ? try to hit reset one before you put the disc in , run the config. 1.2 and turn on all option before you update to 1.9b .

oki can sm1 help me AND CAN SM1 PLZ PASTE a CLEAR post of how to Burn WII CD's coz i thing that i might be Doing smth wrong PLZ thx and help me if u can i will be ever thnkfull

i`m not expert with the Wii stuff by a long shot , i installed the Wiikey and its always been 100% perfect but the Mrs says we need 1.9g , ok fine i have read 6 pages and i`m a tad confused

our current setup
Wiikey 1.2 is current in Wii at momment
Wii firmware she tells me is 2.2E

i have downed the 1.3 and 1.9g files and extracted and enlarged the 1.3 pal bootdisc iso file but as yet not put it in the Wii

so what do i do next ?? put the 1.3 disc in and see what gives , we dont have a GC controller , will we be able to do whatever is necesary with the Wii buttons ??

if someone could nudge me in the right direction before i go any further i`d appreciate it :)
