i know if u want the best out of a ps3 u should play it on a 1080p display, but ive been always wondering if u have to have a good tv for a ps3 to work. lol im kinda newby but will they work on the tvs with the three holes (yellow, white, and red). please someone inform me..
yes it will work in a tv with red, white and yellow holes lol. Yellow hole is for input of composite wire, this carries the video signal. Red and white holes are for input of the audio wires. The PS3 dows work on normal PAL tvs. I think you could suffer from some tiny lagg though, but not sure.
thx heaps, lol sorri bout the red ,yellow ,white thing, i didnt noe if it was a pal 60 i just took a risk by writing it in the title. btw do u think its worth buying a 1080p display just to make he ps3 work at full potential?
If you have the money to spend, go for it!! It will unlock the true performance capabilities of the PS3 in terms of high definition graphics. I personally have an SDTV (PAL 60 TV) and would love to buy an HD TV, however i'm just waiting to rake in the cash.
I have a 43" HDTV and the PS3 looks fantastic on it. But most of the time I have the PS3 hooked up to a (PAL) 32" SD (my missus is watching TV on the 43" most of the time!). And the PS3 still looks fantastic! Not as good on the SD as on the HD, obviously, but still way better than the PS2 looked, and for now, good enough.
So yes, the PS3 will work on a PAL SD TV, and it will look great.
