Hi,

I have had my ps3 for a few months now, and I turned it on the other day and it does not read discs, nor does it output a video signal. It just sits there.

Any idea?

make sure that the cords in the back are not loose at all. My ps3 didn't have any sound and the cable was loose, and pushing it back in fixed the problem.

when you tunr on the ps3 push ands hold the power button until u hear a second beep, then tell me wat happens

Heh, yeah. I've made sure of that. It's definitely internal, because the Disks do not spin in the drive.

best thing is to send it to sony if u havent voided the warrenty coz iv ad mine for 7months and its running as sweet as a nut

I got mine soon after launch and it's working beautifully. I think yo u have a 1 in a million case. I suggest you send it in to Sony for repairs like the guy who posted above me.
