Saga continues reading through all your problems are you sure you have a Red model as you seem to be able to erase the tsop but not write to it.

Hi Scouser,
Done everthing. Seemed to load correctly then ran flash. But I still have the number 126 on box. When I key 1004 in box it then turns from 126 to 0000. However, nothing happens. When it tries to load its says no signal. Help. Please.

Where getting somewhere. Is it powering up, if so got to menu,config, clear data. Clear all your channel data. Now you need to do a powerscan, you are in Dublin so I presume you are on N** true cable set symbol rate to 6887 and scan from 290 to 403. If you are on a different provider or MMDS please let me know.

Hi Scouser , sorry for cutting across you but hope i can help.
@jlewis when you press menu on your remote what do you see on your tv , you should have a choice of preferences , channel manager , instalation , config. Can you get this far ? if you can do what scouser said earlier , go to config , clear data when that done you have to tune the box in by going to instalation from the main menu and doing a power scan. For the moment press the Menu on your remote and tell us what you see on your TV.
Again sorry Scouser , every little helps :-) and jlewis we will get the box fixed for you

Everything seemed to load ok. But when I attach to tv it says wait and then says no signal. On the display it says 126.

Have you tried a hard boot reflash with the 2007 firmware that came with your jtag, (this is the March firmware for a Red box), you will find this in Eamos FTA Library along with Dnupman see the end of post for the link. You will also find a Eurovox guide that will help you regards flashing.
To do a hard boot you have dnupman open with the march bin file ready and make sure the EV is unplugged then press download, then power up the EV, you may need to do this a few times.
You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F.

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

I am doing a boot flash. When its finished it says download failed then says download successful. However, when finished the ev displays 126. Trying again

UPDATE
Can you get into the menu to do a factory reset? As you need to clear the channel data. If you cant, open the box you will see a micro reset button on the main board.

If you can borrow another Red box it can be restored by set to set transfer.
Remove lid from faulty box and locate reset button.
Connect both boxes with null modem cable.
Go to Menu on working box,/ config/ system info/ then enter 1968 on remote
2 hidden options appear 'set to set download'
1. program code download
2. channel data download
program download should show.
press reset button on faulty box and wait a moment to see if dnld shows in display, might have to try a few times for it to catch or need to press OK on remote. Should start to download and when complete box will be restored
