hey guys new member here and would just like to ask if anyone knows for sure if the 80gb ps3 model will drop it's price when the 40gb model hits stores on Nov. 2? The reason I ask this is that I'm thinking of buying a ps3 (after doing MANY research and reading many "fanboy" flame wars on the net)and I'm hoping that the 80gb model will drop to $500 so I can afford it. I remember they did that when the 80gb model was introduced and the 60gb model cut it's price down to $500. I know the 40gb model will be $400, but I'm looking for more space then that. Anyways if anyone could give me some info, it would be greatly appreaciated, thanks :)

80GB will drop maybe for christmas, right now NOT and the 40GB is not WORTH it, its just a PS3 of 20gbs with a 40gb HD, I found it out that the 40GB will NOT COME with Memory Readers nor Backwards compatability... so it will not be worth trying that one... I will advise you to go for a 60GB right now that they are cheap, as if you need more space you can only swap HDs, get a 160GB SATA PORTABLE HD and you are good to go!

Search and you will see that HD is swapable.
