This NeoGAF post has information on the apparent leak of the Mario Galaxy code well before the game's official release. It seems that the demo copies found at local Electronics Boutique stores only have a ten minute time limit when played on EB's proprietary demo machines, and when played in consumer Wiis, the disc actually contains the full version of Galaxy. Taking advantage of this, a scurvy EB employee lifted the disc, copied the data from it, and uploaded it to the net.

I don't think this is true. I haven't seen it yet and usually when something is "leaked" I can find it pretty quick (not using that torrent bull sh** either)
Not saying it's not possible, I just haven't seen it yet from my usual sources.

"I DONT WANT A LINK" but... can anyone find what the hell all these threads are going on about. I'm pretty sure sure i checked everywhere and it aint there yet. But still i find reports saying its even working on pal which would mean peolpe have downloaded then burned to check. Yet I think its a no no sadly

Torrents are the bastard child of 0 day. I would expect to see it at a handful of other places before I found it on torrents.

apparently burnt copys of this game will not work the wii gives some a message that says something about unauthorized hardware dectected
nintendo may of found a way to detect modchips or stop copied games from being played

Ya, I have had very little luck in finding this also. I am in the same thinking that if I can't find it through my usual sources than it isn't out yet because a release of this caliber would turn into a full internet assault. Oh well if anyone has any updates hit me up on a PM. I'll do the same for any posters in this thread, if I gather any more info on this one.
Sorry to get any hopes up, I was just passing on some news. Don't shoot the messenger =)

Honestly, if you're d/ling anything of this magnitude I seriously doubt its torrents that you're using. Unless, you like playing the waiting game and somehow can't afford a monthly charge.

I've searched as many torrent sites as I could find and I can't locate it anywhere. I think someone is a lying b*****d over at NeoGAF. Although I don't think it's going to be long before it does appear either on irc or newsgroups. I predict by the end of the weekend i'll be playing it ;)
