i have both, and use the slim more. longer battery life and has tv output. also, most homebrew is being ported to the psp slim. i only need snes9x, which i have already.

hahaha.... you need to get your facts right :-P the slim does not support a [b][i]1.5[/i][/b] kernel, but each other fw has a unique 7 character support module that makes sure that the code being run is SIGNED BY SONY. the slim has a full system of modules(aproximately 1200 of them) that make up the TA-85 board. the only way to bypass this very strict regulation would be to TRICK each module into thinking it is the next one, and to have the last module be HEN enabled with a 7 character support of FFFFFF0, which corresponds to the 1.5 kernel, but doesn't use it to operate, but rather bypass any code not signed by sony. this way, the additional kernel is not being used as a module to run code, but rather the one used to test code. this way the test will be succesful(by 1.5 supporting unsigned code) but the run will use whatever FW is installed as a regulator.
and to tell you a little bit about homebrew: the TIFF exploit used absolutely no modules to run code, but rather a flaw in the kernel security. so and TIFF exploited homebrew can be run on either PHAT or SLIM.
