Charging PS3 controller help

Is there any other way of charging a PS3 controller. rather than having to have the console switched on whilst the controller charges up through the USB terminals................for instance can i connect the controller and its USB cable to my PC USB outlet

You can charge them using a pc.

Yeah, just make sure the USB port you are using is fully powered. Low-powered ones (eg the ones on the MAC keyboards) wont charge it.

can anyone tell me why my ps3 controller won't charge? :( i've already charged it once and it was fine...but i was just playing and then it stopped and it said to charge it, and it won't (the light doesn't come on) did i do something wrong?

please help...thanks in advance

I'm able to charge it through my cable box. It's a Motorola DCT64 something. I'm too lazy to check.

Anyway, where did you charge it? Was it from a low-powered USB port?

The Same problem happened with me and i pressed the reset button on the back and it worked fine after that.
