hi, i bought a ps3 yday and it worked for about 1hr and a half and then just shut down. we tried to start it up again and i wud start but then stop. the colours changed from red to green and then grey and then back to red flashing. i tried it a couple of hours later and then the same thing happened again after about 40 mins. hasnt worked since. it was hot when it shut down but i thought the ps3 had a fan that would not allow this to happen. what can i do?

According to the PS3 troubleshooting website ( http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/PS...ashingnooperate ), your PS3 is overheating. If your PS3 is in a cabinet or some other enclosed space, I recommend you bring it out into the open to prevent it from heating up.

okay but what do u mean by the open?the back av cable is also a bit wonky,lose. ive tried calling sony and they should call back in an hour.

If it is not in an enclosed space then just go back to the store where you bought it as I am sure they have at least a 7 day exchange period.

yeh but the thing is that they only ordered the product and dont actually have any on them!lol...wtf?so sony sed that we should send it away to them and wait 2 weeks...wtf?=(

Just answer this. Did you put it in an enclosed place like a cabinet or a small shelf that your TV stand has?
