Just a quick question which i expect may have been asked many many times before.

I have a US playstation 3 and wondered what PS2 games will work on it? I am in the UK so i am guessing only US ps2 games will work because the PS2 wasnt region free, Am i correct or will it play the european games?

it depends no what model you have
40 gb cant play ps2 games
60 gb plays 98 percent of ps2 games
80 gb plays 85 percent of ps2 games

i have a 60gb one so that plays the most?
Do i need any sort of other downloads to play the games or will they just work?

then you should be able to play them

Yes, PS2 games are region-protected, so you will only be able to play US PS2 games on a US PS3
