^^ its easy to install a theme even if you are a complete fool.
Ps3 60gb > 200gb > 320gb > 1.55 > 1.81 > 1.82 > 1.90 > 1.92 > 1.93 > 2.00 > 2.10 >2.20

For anyone interested in making thier own themes PS3 Theme Builder v2.1 was released in December,it allows you to create your own theme and add Sound effects,ive never used it before but i just downloaded it and it looks very easy.

lads couls do wit a bit of help its doin me ed in!! trin to set up an aoline account on me PS3.im at the create an online id part now. but when i enter a name any name for that matter and enter it it forwards to next screen and tells me that the online id i entered canot be used.!!!!! please choose another id!!! ive tried loads of names same result! any clue wats goin on?? cheers

This is my first theme so I need a question answered.
1. How do I remove the background from the icons? I tried using photoshop and didn't work to well.
Changelog:
v0.1a-v0.1b
Changed icons under settings.
These are what I am going to work on for the next releases:
Version 0.2:
More clear icons
Backgrounds removed
Version 0.3:
Icons more clear
Custom sounds
Version 0.4(Final):
Maybe by this time someone will figure out how to change the positions
If so positions will be changed.
If not I will make the icons more clear and get some new icons that look better.

Were the backgrounds originaly on them or did they apear after you converted them.
I used a program called image converter plus it batch enlarged the icons without putting the backgrounds on them.
Also did you know that you can put sound effects in your theme.
This is one of the themes that i created,notice the icon difference between this one and the Mila Jovovich one above.

The backgrounds were originaly with the icons unfortunatly, would the program you used still work?
Yea I' working on my next version for the theme with different sound effects close to the ones on logika.

No that program wont work if the backgrounds were originaly there,there are loads of places that you can get icons,just type PS3 Icons into Google and you have unlimited choices.
The icons i used came in a strange format that wasnt recognized by Windows,so i opened it with WinRar.

I love that background pic for your mgs2 theme, though if you want to be specific that's a pic of snake in mgs1 before he had the beard.
And to what extent can you add sound effects, ever since the custom themes were released I though it would be hilariously awesome to have that blues clues "we just got a letter" song play whenever you get a new message ^.^

Didnt know that Canuckerz,i just assumed it was mgs2 as it says it on the picture,anyway someone asked me to do it,im thinking of doing an updated version with the sounds of the mgs menu.
Making themes are easy,its the sound effects which arnt so easy,it took me ages finding the tool to convert the effects to the format the PS3 understands,the maximum size you can have is 256kb.The Scarface one above has Tony Montana saying "say hello to my little friend" when you press the PS button.
