Guys, it's Thanksgiving and I am spending far too much time attempting to back up a movie recently purchased.:) I have run into this problem before but have always made it through, but not this time. I even thought I had purchased a defective copy of the flick, but after I opened the second copy, it was just the same.

I have ZERO problem purchasing THE BEST (help) back up service possible, I have always been informed however via the most knowledgeable folks I know (you) that Shrink/RI4M, DVDFab Decrypter, were the way to go. I am not so sure at this point. Please don't think I am posting the same thread twice because I read the other thread containing a reference to El Cantante (might as well be el cantankerous!)but I have tried EVERYTHING. RI4M gets to VTS 13 and goes fatal, DVDFab(latest) will open and rip the movie via pathfinder, but even when I use Voblanker afterward & follow up with Fix VTS, I get Out of Memory, not enough storage space to process this command error. I am telling you guys, I am like a bulldog. Once I latch on I don't let go but I swear I have tried "main movie" and "full disc" and just about every other option imaginable. One time I did get a main movie burn but it contained the dreaded fixed subtitling. Tell me what to do please. If it's a sure bet to purchase AnyDVD or whatever, I am there. just gotta get past this one and move on. <sigh>

Thanks for your help. You all are the best.

PS. kinda makes me wonder if we are not starting to see multiple protective encoding and technique inside the same regions on the same movie releases. (???)

Try ANY DVD it's a free 21 day trial. As far as the movie I don't know I haven't got it yet. Been waiting for the word of mouth reviews. Chris

I used AnyDVD and CloneDVD - not a hitch in this one. Playback great and actually a decent movie imho.

But let's keep El Cantante to this thread:

Post problems there.
