ok, so on the 24th i think I'm gonna take the plung and get the PS3. my question is, are the issues concerning backups something that effects swap magic. pretty much what i want to know is, when we can actually backups PS3 games, will they be able to be booted off a PS2 swap magic disk? if so, this could lead me to stay away from the 40 GB. But if this will never be an option it doesn't matter to me. Thanks in advance.

not really, at least in the search section not. i searched ps3 swap magic. Came up with 4 threads and none of which answered my question or even hinted at it. if you know of a thread please forward me the link. thanks in advance.

Yes, there are countless threads on this matter. No one knows what the method to load a ps3 backup will be if there ever is one.
