hi,
i have a large dvd collection. i just recently bought a new computer with
a lot of hard drive space. I would like to rip my dvds to my computer and then using a program like TVersity (i think), i would like to be able to stream them to my ps3 using the media center function.
could someone please tell me the best format to rip my dvds into for streaming to my ps3 and what programs to use and such?
thanks

You need a Blu-ray drive to rip movies to your PC.

Oh, to rip them, put them in your DVD-ROM drive, and navigate to your DVD-ROM drive, and copy and paste everything.

No you can't do that. You will have to use DVD Decrypter to rip the DVDs.

I recommend using h264 (you can use MeGui and x264 to convert the video to this format).

Yes it does, but it doesn't matter if the format is supported by the PS3 or not as TVersity converts it real-time.
