ive heard pioneer ones are the best...is that one suitable?
once ive got the files onot my hard drive uisg ht exbox backup creator...what do i do? do i jsut burn them using image burn? or do i need to do something with the files then burn the files to a disc fro them to work with the xtreme firmware?
any dvd burner that burns dual layer dvds should work. the pioneer 111d/112d is one that a lot of folks on here like. i have an old nec that works just fine. just make sure you have updated to the latest firmware from the manufacturer, use good quality DVD+R DLs (aka...verbatim), and set the layerbreak in imgburn (i forget the exact number, just search for it and you'll find it..or just open up the .dvd file when ripping with XBC and it'll be there).
i've always burned at 2.4x and it's always worked. never had a bad burn using imgburn. here is an imgburn tutorial. this should take you through the steps you need (setting layerbreak, etc...) for the perfect burn.
the 112d is the "new" model from pioneer. the 111d is last years model, which works great too. i don't think the price differential is much, so it really doesn't matter.
