so how do we check if a backup is good on a mac without being able to use some of the apps from a pc? And how could one rip a game on a mac? I have the burning down, but i dont like trusting something that is downloaded without checking it first.

i don't have the answer to the above posteed question i am just seconding his inquiry. i would definitely like to see a program that allows you to check the iso before i burn. there has to be something out there

There is now... It's called OSx360, and I developed it myself for that exact reason. It's absolutely free as well...

There is no ripping program for mac at this time, but I am looking into it (at least if it's possible). You can use Xbox Backup Creator with a KREON drive in BootCamp/Parallels/VMWare, and it works even using a ATAPI-USB converter with the drive.

but your software is for test purposes only. I'd like to wait to see a stable and efficient program before i participate in tests.

Come on now... I call it a beta, and say test purposes only because of the limited testing that has been done.
Just because something says for testing only doesn't mean it doesn't work. On the contrary, it works very well.
I have a few exclusive testers that already bit the bullet (as well as myself) and have ruined many discs until the program was considered functional. Most of those discs were ruined because of the Matshita burner that is used in many macs.

I downloaded and will be using OSx360 for my newest burn. I specified custom layer break at 1913760 and will report back with results.

I've been using OSx360 for a little bit and I must say it works fantastic. I had some problems burning a fully patched backup, I used iburn360 and X360 and they both had problems burning the disc. I opened up OSx360 and checked the iso, and proceeded to burn a new disc, it worked perfect without a hitch.
Great job!

happy to report that i used OSx360 for the first time and it was a success. i downloaded the newest version and everything ran fine. i was kind of nervous because i was using a memorex dvd+r dl cd for the first time as well, but it all ran smoothly. just thought i'd report a victory.

OSx360 did a wonderful job for my first burn. I have successfully burned 3 games. All the same iso but still no problems.
I would like to ask wolfienuk, if it is possible to put a % finished and and ETA? that would be nice.

20%, No ETA. This is just a project of mine that I do when I have free time.
I am currently waiting for Redline99 (Creator of Xbox Backup Creator for pc) to send me more source code so I can begin porting more iso functionality to mac.

this made me laugh a lot.
I was referring to when we are burning a disk if there was a way for the progress bar to show how much has been burned and how long till it is finished burning.
If this doesnt make sense i will try to clarify more.

Just so everyone knows, I will be slowly moving away from these forums at least for the sake of OSx360...
I have created a OSx360 forum on my site that can be accessed through the main page or directly at:
http://www.nukedsoftware.com/forum/
I have created topics for:
OSx360 Releases (where you will be able to view all releases and info about them)
OSx360 Feature Requests
OSx360 Bug Reports
OSx360 Help
Off-Topic Discussions
Please be sure to drop by and register... I will probably be on there most of the time, and it will be a lot easier than keeping tabs on multiple forums - which I am doing now. That means you will be able to get replies real quick and I can keep track of all the bug reports and requests.
Thanks again everyone, and I hope to see you there!

So even after managing to actually rip and burn a 360 game, you would still have to mod your 360 to be able to play a copied game... right?

This isn't craigslist - asking for a mod service isn't allowed.
Oh and removed your phone # from your post.

Macs don't run DOS, it will not work. I used DosFlash32 on my PC.
