I bought my new ps3 40gb I want to know that how to see the system version and from which website to get the latest update as my internet is too slow to do it in home

What do you want to do? You're not very clear.

If you're talking about updating the PS3s firmware. You can do it from the official playstation website OR you can do it directly from the PS3. Just choose 'system update' in the XMB.

Before you ask, the Playstation website offers directions on how to do it (save the update on your PC and then update it on the PS3).

Go under the settings menu, then system settings than system information to check your firmware.

The newest update puts it at version 2.1 Btw. So if that's the firmware version you have, you should be all set.
