My friends think that there is a way to use the backup games
But we don?t know if it will work
Because we don?t have a ps3 till now
We wanted to copy the ps3 game like we did with the ps2 games
But the dvd wont work ?.. that what we wanted to do
Maybe you think we are crazy
But did you tray to back up the copied game on the ps3 hard disk
So after you copy the game put it in the ps3 then try to do a back up ?..
Try this ??
Maybe it will work

PS3 games CAN be ripped but there is no way of playing backups at the moment.

but we know that we can put the game in the ps3 then do a backup to download it in the hard drive ^.^
did you try this way with the backup dvd

firstly, its a blu-ray disc not a dvd.
secondly, the ps3 hard drive is formatted to FAT32 which means that no file bigger then 4GB can be put on there, and i haven't seen a game yet that is less then 8GB.
finally if you did compress the game to less then 4GB you would need to find a way to format the game so that it would appear as a demo or game from psn.

People please stop trying to theorize how to play back ups.. specially if you dont own a PS3 and/or dont know one even works..... not trying to be rude but I can come up with a million idea on how to "theoretically" play back ups..... one of them is in my dreams..lol... Also anything you thought of someone else has already tried it and found it doesnt work....

Here's a theory on how to get free ps3 games:
You cover a squirrel (or chipmunk if you cant find one) in double sided tape or just some kinda tacky substance, then you put it into the air ducts at EB games and maybe it will come out with ps3 games stuck to it. And that's the only way to get free PS3 games. Stop asking about any other methods from here henceforth because they are pointless because odds are anything you think of has already been tried several hundred times, sorry but its the cold hard truth.

i didn't say anything about copying the disc, i said backing up to the hard drive.
Resistance fall of man: 17.53GB
uncharted: drakes fortune: 21.5GB
heavenly sword: 19.2GB
ratchet and clank: 22.96GB
etc..etc...
the only games under 9GB for ps3 are warhawk, tekken, games off the psn and all the multiplatform games.
