Hi, i converted a video file then used shrink, it tells me that my video file is within range at the rate of 100%. Then i try to burn using nero xpress and it tells me i need a dvd 9 disc even though it is compressed and within allowable limit. Help!

Output the file as an iso file from shrink and then burn with imgburn.

iluvendo, when you download an avi file (movie), is it not already shrunk? i should just have to convert it and burn instead of popping it into shrink again. There is nothing more to shrink except the credits

When you convert an mpeg4 AVI to be DVD compliant, it is converted to mpeg2 and the file size increases by 3 and half times or so. Sometimes after conversion, the file size may end up larger than expected or originally calculated by Nero. If so, then you'll have to use DVD Shrink or Nero Recode to shrink the file to fit. It could also just be a Nero error. Use the Image Recorder as the output target in Nerovision or output a hard disk folder and then check the size. Either proceed to compress the file to fit or burn it if within the required size.
