Should i connect my US PS3 80gb on a 240v?

At the back of my ps3 it says it support 120V as i thought it was an universal power unit ,im afraid to connect my ps3 because ,in my country we use 240v. Anybody faces this problem ,this ps3 was my saving for about 2 years now and i dont want it to break.

Any solution welcome.

I thought that the US model was universal, if not, then I guess you will need to buy one of those step down voltage converters, 240V to 120V would work, get one that has a good power rating, around 400W.
