Hi,
I know that there are probably many threads out there about this topic but I still have a few questions. I want to know what advantages there are to installing linux on my ps3. Can I run new programs? games? Can i do more stuff? Also, can someone please tell me all the different versions of linux that are compatible with the ps3.

Dude, I did the linux yellow dog on my ps3 . First of all it works fine. If you follow the instructions! BUT. If you like watching videos or going online to sites that use java or flash for anything you are out of luck! I personally used it for about 5 minutes total and now just go back upstairs to use my pc. hope this helps.
