PS3 Video9 Settings help???

i have a dvd that i would like to backup through ps3 video9, but i have no idea what settings to use, i have tried a few but they dont play very well at all,its all blocky and glitchy.
i have a HDMI TV
and thats printed on the ps3 box?
so i take it that that is a plus
any help would be great, Thanks!!!
1.5 > 2.71 > 2.81 > 3.03 >GTA LCS< 1.5 > 3.40oe-a
1 semibrick recovered back to 1.5 > 3.40oe-a
white TA-082 fully bricked using wrong downgrade another white TA-082 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.40oe-a then to 3.52m33 > 1.5 > 3.80 ofw > pandora battery & magic memory stick to get 1.5 then 3.52m33 > 3.71m33 > 3.80m33, psp's still alive!!!

the ps3 just got avi support you should just be able to put it in the ps3 and copy it to it. not burn it to a disk as data and copy it

how do i do that?
i have Version 2.10
when i put dvd into ps3, under Video, it says DVD Video, DVD-ROM, with no option to copy it??????
how do i copy it?

What your seeing is a resolution say... 720x480 blown up on your big telly, if you watch it original screen you wouldnt get this.
If your to encode to the res of your telly you,ll need to use an AVSYNTH SCRIPT,here or use Xvid4psp much better application then PS3Video9.

to copy from a data dvd you just press >triangle> then go down to copy and it saves it to your video
you need the update with avi support tho its update 2.10

iv got 2.10 on my ps3, still there is no option there?

Why do you want to back it up using ps3 video 9? just get yourself dvdshrink and it will rip the original dvd onto your PCs hardrive you can then copy this onto any blank dvd-r or dvd+r.
Or from there you can use another programming to convert it to avi (not ps3 video 9, thats only worth using to change a .mkv file into a .mp4 file) which will play on your PS3 or computer.

what kind of dvd is it? it has to be a data dvd inorder for you to copy it to the ps3 ..
you cant copy a dvd movie from the store.
when you put in your data dvd you go under media > the go to the dvd> then press triangle > then go down to copy .
the option is there if its a data dvd.

I need a guide do you have one because i have Xillisoft & that program is crap.

i downloaded that divx, how do you use it though,every time i put something in it, it says that its not supported?
