Hey people, my ps3 has started to make noise and is warming up. I've played my friend's ps3 in a room the same temperature, so im sort of confused. Im afraid it will like blow up or something, could you help me? Thanks.

try moving it to a different location in the room. you may have it in a closed cabinet or even an opened cabinet. heat builds up causing it to overheat and may stuff up the ps3. i put my ps3 on the floor, and keep it away from any surface atleast half a metre. i have no probs. if your ps3 overheats, you will see the light flashing red and green. Also, consider buying a ps3 cooling fan on ebay or sumfin, they are very cheap and help a lot. u have to have one cause ps3 gets tooo hot.

Read my last post on that link ^... I have had my third replacement PS3 for a few days now and it's perfectly quiet, never makes a noise. So it seems there are a few noisy PS3's on the loose! I got 2 in a row!

Sounds like a broken cooling fan to me. Send it back, no need to mess with something under warranty.
