im plannin to buy ps3, but i dont hav any idea, which firmware to buy. last year i bought psp and there was alot of mess for fimware.so plzz help me buyin ps3.and can we play pirated games on ps3??

Unlike the PSP, there are no known holes in the firmware that allow for iso loading or any homebrew at all. Firmware should be kept at the newest on the PS3 to get the most features so there's no point in shopping for a lower firmware PS3.

You cant buy a firmware and there is no way of telling which firmware the PS3 has when you buy it.And there is no way of playing backups yet.
