O.K. So maybe I missed it but I cant find anything in this tread about use of the old 0.80 and 1.5 emulators for old Genisis and Sega the used to play from my GAME150 folder on my FAT, but do not load on my SLIM (any kernal mode) on same 3.90/M33-2 cfw. What am I missing? I cant say if I know they ever played on my slim (cause I just barely tested in 2 months since 3.71/M33-2 to now.

Also, so am I to asume the GTA LCS xploit UMD is no longer needed for these modern homebrew and CFW?

some emulators wont run on slim (very few) check to see if their supported...

you do have the 1.50 kernel update, not the original one that came with the CFW but the v2!
look for it here

O.K. not a big deal since I still have my FAT. But the link you posted only shows 1.5 v2 for FAT only, nothing for slim.

What is the "Popsloader" for? how do I tell or know what older Emulators will run in newer 1.5

Linux, what version of Linux will run on the slim if any then and how?

It works for SLIM as well.

What do you mean it wont work for SLIM? What issue are you having?

I think the instructions need to be updated, because it doesn not specify that for soem newer SLIMS, that you cannot run the Pandora Batery Creator or oS battery Tool regardless of what CFW version. So in order to unbrick these models, one must have access to a early SLIM or any FAT to enable and disable the battery.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I did it few times and all the same for 2 months new SLIMS.

Hope this helps!

I've been having trouble, and I've read every post, but my question wasn't answered. Hopefully someone can answer my question here.

I made the Pandora Battery, and the light came on as it should. I didn't get the message after putting in the memory stick, so I guess I need to make another. There's a problem, though. If the PSP doesn't work as it should, I can't make another Magic Memory Stick! Sadly, I'm the only person I know with a PSP, so using a friend's is out of the question.

Is there a way I can make another MSS without a PSP, or do I need to buy another battery? Thanks for any help.

EDIT: Sorry if this is a VERY stupid question, but I hear I can use a memory card reader. Could I just put the memory card into my computer instead of through a reader?

You can use a Memory Stick Reader if it is ProDuo compatible or you can plug the PSP in via AC Adapter keeping the Pandora battery out and turn the PSP on just using the AC Adapter.

If I want to make a nand dump of my psp just incase, how much space does it take up. Will it be able to fit on a 1gb memory stick with all the pandora files on it? Just tell me how big the nand dump is? Any help will be appriciated.

Thx for this guide, really helped me out, but I got a different problem now.. I changed my phat batt into Pandora, installed a CFW on Slim, and then erased the data in the stick (erasing the batery eeprom info), so I changed the phat batt to normal service (using a fake serial [12345..]) the batt is working, but now that I needed to install a CFW on a different Slim, I can't create a Pandora Battery again, it gives this error:

"Error 0x8025 Exiting"

the question is: can this phat battery be changed into a Pandora batt again??

I gave up on using the phat batt as a spare batt, I just wanted to keep it as a Pandora one (for future unblocking slims) but it won't change...

Of course you can not follow this guide using a bricked PSP that is bricked and recovery dosent work either. Plus this guide will not brick your PSP if you followed the directions properly.

You will need another working Custom Firmware PSP to use this guide and unbrick the other PSP.
