See larry, this is my point exactly. Why would you not just want to include this in the 1st page as well as the now more common issue with newer SLIMs trying to run battery tool?
I personally thing it would save a lot of waisted time repeating "it's in the post (some few thousand back "gods knows when") then to just edit the first page once, and update as folks bring new issues to your knowlage.
Just an idea.

Enough of the friggin nitpicking on the guide.
Anyone here is more than welcome to create their own guide.
Want to help out instead of picking on other members hard work and free time that they spend helping here - then do faq's like most common problems and fixes.
Even then I'll bet that there will still be repetitive questions.

I added a little trouble shooting part at the end of the guide.
Hopefully people will stop asking the same questions over and over again.
Plus I hope it doesn't create more questions like is my MS or Battery compatible type questions.

Hello!
I know is 1st post but i did read 6 rtime your guide.....
I got stuck in the middle of it...
I am able to reach the part
Quote: PANDORA GUIDE: THOSE THAT HAVE CUSTOM FIRMWARE PSP
Go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run OS Pandora Battery Tool. Press X at warning screen to get to Main Menu.
Select "backup battery eeprom to ms0:/eeprom.bin"
After the eeprom is backed up go to "convert to service mode"
Go to Quit Now after the Battery has been converted and it will exit to XMB.
Turn off the PSP and take out the Battery.
when i reach this i need do
Quote: Now use the Magic Memory Stick + Pandora Battery on the PSP that needs to be unbricked or Custom Firmware installed to.
After the custom firmware is installed take out the Battery and plug the PSP in via AC Adapter and turn the PSP on (without the Battery inserted).
My problem is that i am not undersatnd quite well this part.
What i done was Change the memory of the Custom PSP and put in the one I wanna modify (replace the 3.52 official software to the Homebrew)
So i put the Ac cable Turn it on let load and bring the screen. insert the Memory stick, put the battery on place try to run the " OS Pandora Battery Tool"
When i do that i get a error:
The game could not be started.
[80020148]
anyone know how to pass this steps please.
edit:
I try 2nd time and same error come.
I think i am skiping this step
Quote:
After the custom firmware is installed take out the Battery and plug the PSP in via AC Adapter and turn the PSP on (without the Battery inserted).
how do i Install the Custom firmware :)
some one can help me?

@Galustius
Why are you doing this step...
Before this step...
Quote: Go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run OS Pandora Battery Tool.
FOLLOW THE GUIDE STEP FOR STEP!
Don't do steps out of order or it will not work.
You need to run the OS Pandora Battery Tool on the PSP that has Custom firmware.

@larrylje
i did follow step by step maybe i explain wrong!
i was able to get till this part!
Quote:
Go to Quit Now after the Battery has been converted and it will exit to XMB.
Turn off the PSP and take out the Battery.
Now use the Magic Memory Stick + Pandora Battery on the PSP that needs to be unbricked or Custom Firmware installed to.
then on this point i got confused! me idiot
when i read this
Quote: After the custom firmware is installed take out the Battery and plug the PSP in via AC Adapter and turn the PSP on (without the Battery inserted).
I bypass the part that i should
Insert magic card on the brick/ 3.52 3.52+ PSP
Insert the pandora battery
and i went right way to the part of make the pandora battery be a normal battery
MY bad.....
anyway after sebveral attempts i not know how i managed to load the software to the psp and now i am a 3.90 m33 onwer thanks to you.
Thanks once more....

dude
you need a psp that can run homebrew to make a pandoras battery
and to run the pandora creator with 4.02 you neeed to enable 1.50 kernal first
you go to recovery menu
advance configuration
then change the game folder homebrew to 1.50 kernel
first you have to install it though

if this was answered im sorry, but
if you have already made a pandoras, you can just skip the step and proceed with the files you downloaded and put on your memstick right?
then just put it all in your bricked psp?
btw what is difference between full and semi brick i can't tell, i accidentally disconnected my psp after i deleted my vsh folder and i forgot to replace it. i can't access my recovery menu and its black when i turn it on. is this a full brick?
EDIT: thank you , you guys, oh and my bad i kind of posted the samething seperately and i didnt see this thread before as i was panicking lol but hopefully things will turn out fine.
thanks guys ^^

if there is no backlight is fully bricked
if it turns off automatically you can fix it
just make a pandoras with the original process
and then downgrade the psp to 1.50 official firmware
with the magic memory stick
and then upgraded it again with custom firmware if you want

@ mr gooey noo i don't have vista. is taht a bad thing?
btw i only have a 4 gb memory stick with me at the moment is it ok if i use that?
EDIT: sry didn't see the 256mb-2gb limitation
EDIT2: ok so i heard that if you just get a blank screen you need to redo the MS part, i was wondering how many times it would take, and what could've went wrong when you did the MS, because just doing it until you get it right is a little daunting for me lol
but tyvm for your help guys
EDIT3: i dont think this problem came up because i had read through most of it ^^, but i found that when i type y and press enter for the installer, it doesn't proceed on it just stays on the screen. i can't do anything until i exit the installer, but i found that pressing enter works too, is this normal? and does pressing y and enter, or just enter really matter?
sry so many questions O.o
Thanks to DvDBack23 for my sig!

If not, then could I use my friend's bat(I am using his psp because I bricked mine and trying to fix it) his bat is a 1800mh (the original phat bat---the one with silver letters).....pls help asap and also if its not about the bat then what???
