Connect your CFW(or 1.50)PSP to the ac adapter and turn on psp without the Pandora battery installed.
once its On, put the Pandora battery inside the CFW PSP and then go to Games under PSP and look for OS Pandora Tool to convert Pandora back to its original form.

When you run OS Pandora tool under Game menu, You will get a warning screen just press X to get to the Main Menu.
When the Main Menu comes up go to "flash only serial from mso:/eeprom.bin"

Go to Quit Now and it will exit to the XMB. Now turn off the PSP and unplug it from AC Adapter. Now Take out the Battery then re-insert the Battery replacing the battery cover and use as normal now..

Ok, now you should have the battery back to normal and redo the whole guide again and hopefully its installed correct.

By the way, is for a fat psp that you have or slim?
I tried using the Pandora on a 2.00 and a 2.60 psp that was not brick, but the pandora did not work for them...So I downgraded to 1.50 and then used Pandora.
Good luck dude.

No, it bricks because the flash is corrupt. It could have a bit of bit of firmwares. The return your PSP to the original state, you need the pandora's battery

This doesn't work on 32mb right? How about if I use my friends 512mb and later want to use my own 4gb. Do I need to format the stick in FAT32 and then copy&paste everything or just copy&paste right away?

Pandora will hack it to 3.71 M33.
Under Maxtool, which is under games menu, will give you the option to upgrade, I recommend 4.01 M33-2, just cuz I have it and runs great. =]
After you upgrade, run the 1.50 add on kernel. This will be as if you have the 1.50 version patched on to your psp.
Once its all been done, including the kernel, format your mem stick off from your psp, then hook it up usb and you should have a folder already set under psp that says, GAME150. Put your emulators in that folder.
hope it helps.

No, you need lots more space then 32mb.
yes, you will need to format on Fat32...then trasnfer your emulators off from friends mem card to your GAME150 folder.

OK so I offered to try and help my friend's bricked PSP (turns on, nothing, then turns off), and I followed the guide step-by-step. It's a CFW PSP (4.01) and I put the pandora battery in as well as the magic memory stick, and nothing, just the same thing as before.

I read that CFW PSPs cannot be fully bricked and are always fixable. Is this true? Or is this a rare case where it's done? Or possibly the more likely scenario, I screwed up?

EDIT: Nevermind, I had to hold X when I turned on my PSP to bring up the prompt to reinstall 3.71.

Thanks for the guide!

Hi, yet another noob, but plz help.
My sons'phat psp is loaded with 3.90 M33-3 custom firmware and all is good when loading music, playing UMDs and wireless internet browsing. However, loading useable Homebrew and torrent applications gives us only "corrupted data" in the memory stick directory. Excuse my ignorance, but isn't this custom firmware pre-sorted for this process? or is there further "unbricking" that needs to be done? All the files we've attempted have been psp files, which I was on the understanding could be copied and pasted into the relevant directory file i.e. PSP>GAME or PSP>MSROOT
Read the forums , guide books etc.
What am I missing?

most homebrews are in .rar format. you will need winrar to uncompress the files.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Thanks.
If I could clarify; I notice there's approx 20 compressed files in the downloaded application folder. I'm assuming I extract them all and keep them in the same folder. would this be correct? Any further proceedures from there on before I copy and paste in the relevant PSP directory?

if they are .r01/.r02/etc, just choose the first one, and they will combine.

if they are different, then you will need to extract each one.

Im doing this as we talk and all the 21 Winrar files start with; zer0- and then the application name. All are exactly the same 19.0 MB
size apart from one (10.5 MB). Extracted the first one which produced a new folder with the application name 860MB and an iso file. The others proceed with the extraction process but remain in place as compressed files. Wow I wish I were a com geek right now!
Thanks 4 yr help tho Cee

if they don't extract into a folder, then it's probably part of the iso that combined. place the iso in the ISO folder in your memory stick.

dl.qj.net is the place to get homebrew. you will never get them confused when you unrar, because they number each one.

Cheers Cee
Nice 2 meet someone so helpful. Just before I hit the paste button, This iso file of 800+ MB is gonna take the lions share of the mem stick. When I downloaded the torrent, it suggested a file size of 400+ MB. Presumably this is due to decompression and will require me dumping some music files to facilitate the space. Some torrent applications denote file sizes of 900+ MB before decompression (presumably) which would require a large mem stick just for one application. Is this about right?
