My bricked PSP does have a CFW on it, it just doesn't turn on.

Did I tell you to use your brain when you were installing a CFW? No. Mistakes happen, I'm telling you to on this tutorial.

Use your brain and look at it from someone with no experience point of view, not your own experience. Not everyone knows as much as you, and obviously will assume you are referring to their current PSP, rather then a spare one.

Instead of arguing more I made it more idiot proof.

I am half tempted to take the damn guide down.

I created the guide looking at the point of view of a newbie in the scene. There have been over 30,000 downloads of the files and not 1 has ever brought up what you have brought up.

Because most people would know that a bricked PSP can not do shit so you would need a working one for this guide. For those that don't use their common sense (like you) I have added that part to the guide.

No where in there does it state I need to use another PSP.

Use your brain.

Obviously if someone is looking to unbrick their PSP, then find a tutorial to unbrick their PSP, and it says what to do with the PSP, obviously they're going to assume its talking about their PSP and not a spare one, unless it stated that which it didn't.
The guide says you need a PSP with CFW on it. If your PSP is bricked then it doesn't have shit. You tell me to use my brain but I'm not the one with a bricked PSP am I! So use your common sense just like everyone else has.

If you don't like the guide feel free to go somewhere else. I don't care if ungrateful users like you use it or not.

just want to say that dont argue if you need something. Larry knows better than you. just like he taught you need to format your memory stick think how you can format it. the ways are through other psp or using card reader and format it in your computer. and before arguing read this forum first. this forum will answer everything. and if ther something happen that is not here in this guide then it is time for asking and larry will answer.
And for the record IF YOU READ THIS GUIDE YOU WILL NEVER ASK QUESTIONs TO LARRY.

So your basically calling everyone who isn't experienced "idiots" wow.. just wow..

The key word here is "most". Usually guides aim for the word "everybody" instead of just "most". That way you don't have to bash people who aren't aware telling them they don't "understand english" or lack common sense, or that they're "idiots".

Did you not read what I said? Any beginner would obviously think you are referring to their PSP. Use your brain, look at it from a beginners perspective. If you have a bricked PSP and you find a guide to unbrick the PSP, and the first step is to go to Settings and Format the memory stick, OBVIOUSLY they will think you are referring to the PSP in their hand and not a spare one (since its not mentioned at all).

I never bashed anyone. All I said is the guide makes perfect sense if you understand English and use a little common sense. Your PSP is bricked. Obviously anyone would know you can not go to settings and format the memory stick if your PSP is bricked. Beginner or expert should know that.

As I said in my previous thread. If this guide is to advanced for you then find another. But I have used my brain and over 30,000 users have used it. SO it must not be that advanced for newbies.

No, its because they have been told, or have knowledge before-hand that magic memory stick requires a spare PSP; however, people who have not been told most likely came to this guide and didn't understand it, then went to another. Yes we know you cannot do that with a bricked PSP thats why I said it doesn't make sense that you're telling me to do that with my PSP.

You obviously are bashing people by sublimating it, and not directly stating that "you are an idiot". It is blatantly obvious, instead of being mature about it and just saying "Now everyone should understand it, thank you" you have to go and say "Now my guide is IDIOT-PROOF!".

Yeap I did have to put that in. Because of little whiners like you that have no common sense. The guide says your PSP must have 1.50 or CFW on the PSP. Again as I said if your PSP is bricked it has nothing on it. So face the fact that you had a brain fart and leave it at that and let others that have a legit issue reply for help.

Wow very mature, "little whiners like you" haha how old are you? You're acting like a kid throwing a temper tantrum, grow up.

Can you not read properly? A little slow-minded? Its not "common sense", i'll say it again, try to comprehend it ok? Maybe read a bit slower. Unless they had knowledge before-hand to use a spare PSP, they will OBVIOUSLY think you are talking about the PSP they have and not their friends PSP.

You bashed the guide saying it made no sense because you can't format the Memory Stick because your PSP is bricked.

Think about it. If your PSP is bricked and will not start then how do you expect to use it to format the memory Stick?

You say newbies would assume that I was talking about formating the Memory Stick with the bricked PSP. I assume newbies would have the common sense to know if their PSP dosen't start that they can not use it to format the Memory Stick or use it to create the Magic memroy Stick.

Maybe you need to do a little research on the PSP mod scene before attemting to MOD or unbrick a PSP.

bricked = cannot be used, period. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. IT IS COMMON SENSE.

if you don't have any common sense in electronics, then you shouldn't even be touching the psp in the first place. learn the terminology; we won't hand everything to you.

i joined a year ago, and i've been following larry's guides all the way. they cannot get any more clear than that. everyone on aD knows that larry is a reliable source.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Thats not bashing the guide, bashing the guide would be calling it a stupid guide. I did think about it of course, thats why i said it doesn't make sense that you're telling me to format my memory stick when my PSP is bricked.

If you know that, then why would you tell a newbie to format their memory stick with their PSP? Textbook definition of GUIDE, is basically to GUIDE the person through the process, usually telling them first what they need, if you don't specify that they need to go out and borrow their friends PSP, then of course they will assume you are talking about the PSP in their hand.

Yeah well I wouldn't have carried on if he would have replied a bit more mature or less rude, he basically said I had no common sense and that I didn't understand english, to me thats quite uncalled for.

These forums provide masses of free help, and countless guides, most of which are chock full of success stories, so all that should be needed is to read them from the beginning. While i don't have a PSP or know anything about them, i certainly know what the term 'bricked' means...

This started from your initial comment

I dont understand this tutorial it makes no sense

Anyways, let's draw a line under it and get the thread back on track.

nice work Terryc250 you caused larry to have a nervous breakdown and he's removed all his guides from the site .....

a very sad day indeed.

go to the first page of this thread if you don't believe me. he did it to all his posted guides not just this one.
