Unplug the the AC Adapter from the PSP and plus leave the battery out. Then plug the AC Adapter back into the PSP and boot.
If you plugged the PSP in before taking the battery out then the files for the Pandora menu will still be loaded. You need to have the battery out and PSP unplugged to clear all those files before plugging it in with AC Adapter.
will i have to do that evry time i wanna use my psp??? because my tool battery is the only battery ive got....

sorry about this but can you explain the of taking oout the ac adapter but try to explain it simpler, becuz i didnt understand. sorry for noobness.....

I can't make it any clearer then what I posted above.
Instead of asking me to make it more clear why don't you pay closer attention to what I have already typed. I never once said to take out the AC Adapter. I said to unplug the AC Adapter and leave the battery out.
As for the other question you asked. If this is a tool battery then you will need to buy a new battery to use. If this was a PSP Battery that you converted or hardmodded to a tool battery then you will need to convert the battery back to normal or undo the hardmod.

Great Guide. Ty. I have a prob, i have cfw 3.90 m33-2. I am a little confused on how to acctually get a downloaded .cso/.iso file to run on this thing. everytime I put a game on my stick it says corrupted data.I would be greatly thankful for some help.

THIS GUIDE WILL ALLOW YOU TO DOWNGRADE ANY FIRMWARE.

Larry you are the best this is the only walk through that worked for me, if it wasnt for you I dont know my slim is now a 3.90 m33-2 I am gonna play with it and see what else I can do now. I have a pandora pattery I made from the slim battery. it worked flawlessly(I do not suggest this for any one I have successfully modded playstations, ps1's, ps2's, xbox 360's, built computers, and modded x-mod rc cars, and I also build real cars) I agree with you Larry the datel is way better I was so scared I was going to cut myself or the batterry and believe me lithium ions are very dangerous if done wrong. Any way Larry once I get this thing completely modded would it be ok for me to mod my wifes psp with your walkthrough on Camera so that I can put it on you tube in really awesome quality I will have to make it in different parts because my camera is an Hd camera but I wanted to ask first before I proceeded, Thankyou again and huge props to you for all the info.

I also forgot to add do not use vista period it doesnt work at all save time and get a copy of xp or 2k and I used a sandisk 2 gig memory card too. so take it easy

How do you mean "Disable the USB and Format your Memory Stick via System Settings. Then enable the USB again. Then press any key to continue"??? My PSP is bricked and won't turn on.. I can't do that.... go here for my thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/668918

I dont mind the comment I get things like that all the time, any way I am 25 yeah early marriage is tough and you have to work really hard to keep the marriage from turning into divorce. Oh well I also got my psp at 3.90 m33-3 and I got all them emulators working except the neogeo and neogeocd ones I love this psp.

After it has finished writing the files you will get an image similar to below. Just type Y and ENTER to finish the instillation of files to the Magic memory Stick.

are you using vista? because if you are, that's your problem.
only XP can run the command prompts properly.

win2k is fine. make sure you're running as admin.
did you try running the mms in the psp? worth a shot.
