ok I have a question.... Does the battery have to be fully charged? Because everytime I put it in (mem stick was made, it went in first) nothing shows up, the green light turns on, but the backlight doesn't it's worrying me, it's not the PSP, because it works fine with the regular battery... Also I've tried reinstalling the UUB v3 sooooo many times, and still the same outcome, the memory stick is a 1GB and I've been told that it works fine. Can someone help me!?!

Mchief298, edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP. your is 94,144 bytes.
2. An image-only signature should be less than 50kb in size, and be at most 500 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall.

I have a pandora pattery I made from the slim battery. it worked flawlessly(I do not suggest this for any one I have successfully modded playstations, ps1's, ps2's, xbox 360's, built computers, and modded x-mod rc cars, and I also build real cars) I agree with you Larry the datel is way better I was so scared I was going to cut myself or the batterry and believe me lithium ions are very dangerous if done wrong. Any way Larry once I get this thing completely modded would it be ok for me to mod my wifes psp with your walkthrough on Camera so that I can put it on you tube in really awesome quality I will have to make it in different parts because my camera is an Hd camera but I wanted to ask first before I proceeded, Thankyou again and huge props to you for all the info.

OMG!! U HAVE A WIFE?????DISGUSTING!!! :s HOW OLD R U, MAN?
I dont mind the comment I get things like that all the time, any way I am 25 yeah early marriage is tough and you have to work really hard to keep the marriage from turning into divorce. Oh well I also got my psp at 3.90 m33-3 and I got all them emulators working except the neogeo and neogeocd ones I love this psp.
Mate, i'm 10....

Maybe it was because I was unable to do that last step in DOS, because it didnt show. Why is that? Has it something to do with the fact I use Vista? Or did I misunderstand entirely, does this tutorial not work for official 3.52?

Answer would be much appreciated

EDIT

I tried with Windows XP, it worked fine then to install. Problem was Windows Vista. Great guide
In about 20 mins, my TOOL battery will arrive. I have done the mms thing lst night. The DOS thing didn't work, but I can see on my other PC the programs thingys/ ADD_ONS are there...
Will it not work like the person i quoted? :'(

If you think it is answered somewhere in the past 50 pages then read them and find out. That is what they are there for.

@Sreenadh (aka. Adam470 more then likely) Follow the guide on the first page. If you do not go through all steps there then the Magic memory Stick was probably not set up properly.

Just a few words I wanted to add here and will be adding in the guide.

I have no issue with users adding this guide to another forum as long as I get credit for the creation of the guide and the authors of the applications that are used in the guide are credited as well.

It has come to my attention that a user has copied this guide and added a donation for support link to it. I don't understand how this user or anyone else gets off asking for donations on a guide they did not participate in creating or updating and had no participation in the creation of the applications used in the guide.

This guide was intended to help others and at no time have I ever asked or accepted any type of donations for it. As well I would expect anyone that wants to add this guide to another forum follow the same guidelines.

If I find this guide or any of my other guides added to another forum and a donation link is added to it I will report the thread to a MOD and request that the guide be deleted and the member be suspended or banned.

which forum did you find your guide on, larry?

i remember last year that there was a member on aD that created his own psp site, and took members with him. he was getting frequent bans because he was taking information from the aD psp section, and posting it on his forum.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

.i turned on my psp and i pressed x for it to isntall 3.71 m33 and it did, at the end i pressed x for it to shutdown, it did, i turned it back on with the tool battery still in there, and it popped up with the options again, i turned it off, took out the battery and put the charger in and tried turning it on, still the options came up..........how am i suposed to boot up my psp and play my homebrew games??????????
Unplug the the AC Adapter from the PSP and plus leave the battery out. Then plug the AC Adapter back into the PSP and boot.

If you plugged the PSP in before taking the battery out then the files for the Pandora menu will still be loaded. You need to have the battery out and PSP unplugged to clear all those files before plugging it in with AC Adapter.
will i have to do that evry time i wanna use my psp??? because my tool battery is the only battery ive got....

As long as you ensure your Datel Tool Battery (or modded battery) is NOT in the battery bay on initial startup, you will be fine. You can continue to use the battery that was shipped with your PSP (the black Sony one).

I have recently followed this guide to go from 3.95OFW to 3.90m33 on a PSP2000 (PSP Slim). Just carefully follow the instructions as they were written by larrylje, and you will have no problems.

If I remember right, Datel Tool Batteries are shipped uncharged. Charging instructions are in the box that the battery came in. I think it said something about needing to be at least 25% charged for it to send the PSP to service mode. Anyways, fully charged will definitely work, but the minimum is around 25%.
