Did a small update to the guide.
I Added 3.90 M33-3 to MUX. All you have to do is go stright to 3.90 M33-3 no need to install 3.90 M33 first.
I also added 3.95 GEN which is a new CFW created by another team. Don't ask which is better M33 or GEN just try GEN. If you don't like it then you can always change back to M33.
I do have a question myself if someone can answer I would appreciate it. Can 3.80 M33-5 be installed the same as 3.90 M33-3?
As in add 380.PBP to the 3.80 M33-5 update or do you have to install the core 3.80 M33 version first.

worked great for me! First try no problems, I even hard modded my battery and got it back to normal! If you want to hard mod your battery, use THIS thread, just make sure to unsolder one of the battery connections so you don't short it :). I started out with OFW 3.90.

I'm having trouble with a PSP OFW 3.95.
I have used a Magic Stick (with booster code) and hard modded Pandora's battery to mod my FAT PSP. Now the same stick and Pandora battery won't work on a Slim PSP with OFW 3.95.
When I put the battery and Magic stick in the Slim OFW 3.95 PSP the green light won't stay on for more than about 2 seconds. With the Pandora battery alone without the Magic Stick the Green light will stay on, as soon as the Magic stick is inserted the Green light turns of. I've tried holding down the right trigger (because of the booster code) with the same results.
I created another Magic Stick without the booster code using the Slim PSP and the Green Light will stay on when the Pandora Battery and Magic Stick are inserted. I get a "blank black screen" and press X and nothing happens. I've tested the Magic stick on my FAT PSP and it works fine, booting to the "M33 Recovery Menu". I've tried every combination of inserting the battery and Magic stick in different orders and.
So I know my Magic stick is good, and I know my Pandora's battery is good. My final question is "is there a slightly different method for creating a Magic Stick for a Slim CFW 3.95???"
Any help would be awesome.

you're suppose to hold the left trigger down. right trigger is for recovery menu on custom firmware.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure
got a whole lot more to list . . .

Oh my god I'm such an IDIOT... I just wasted 3 hours on this, hahaha. That'll teach me to read the instructions more carefully.
Thanks cee43ja1

Actually.... This doesn't work. I did manage to get my slim PSP to CFW by using a Magic stick without booster code. But then I installed booster code, and when I hold down L trigger, it just boots up like normal. There's no way for me to get the the flash menu after I've got the booster code installed.
Any suggestions??

Do you need to use the MUX20 program to use this? Can we just delete it off the memory stick after CFW is installed?

this is very easy to use and worked beautifully on my 3.95 slim. the only thing i can emphasize is DO NOT TOUCH THE POWER SWITCH when you put in the tool battery, the menu will come up all on its own. if you use the switch you will get a blank screen and pressing x does nothing

go to Network update on your psp if you have access to wi-fi or
Go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run MUX 2.0 application. You will see the 3.90 m33 update there

Hi that was a very good guide which is also the best guide for me, but i have some questions:
1.Can i play downloaded iso/cso game on psp after i have done so?
2.Which of those cfw that u would recommend me to downgrade from ofw 3.80 to?
Thanx for the guide, but i would be very thankful and appreciate it very much if u can answer these questions as soon as possible!

I really hate it when users ask this question. Do you think I would have added the Datel Tool/Pandora Battery part to the guide if it wasn't necessary to do?

Worked perfectly. Excellent guide!
Thanks larrylje for the guide and everyone else who made it possible.
I just have one question:
Is it possible to revert to Official Sony firmware if for eg. a button breaks??
I remember seeing an option during the process "install official 3.71 firmware" or something to that effect.
Is this what would do it? and would it work even if i am currently on 3.90 M33?

Finally got this to work!!! Thanks a million!
However, I want to know, after the update file is available in the memory card, can that be deleted? or should I just leave it there?

Hi,
I have 2 Fat 3.95 that i am trying to get to 3.95 gen or 3.90 m33-3. I already have a pandora battery, this i have used a few times to get other PSP's to 3.71 m33. I followed guide to make new MMS for 3.95 gen.
put MMS in then insert battery all I get is a green light nothing else, surely I dont need to do new battery each time i what to upgrade
