Yes though for the 2nd battery I would recommend buying the Datel Tool battery instead of hard modding one yourself.

impossible... it used to be that you could identify the motherboard by looking for certain markings but that's changed.

what firmware did your PSP come with if its 4+ you might have problems CFW flashing it.

There is a topic on the Dark-Alex blog for the PSP but to save you trouble of going:

TA-088 Motherboard
TA-088 v1 (Tachyon:0x00500000 ; Baryon:0x00243000) Comes with 3.90 Firmware Installed.
TA-088 v2 (Tachyon:TBA ; Baryon:TBA ) Comes with 3.90 Firmware Installed.
TA-088 v3 (Tachyon:??? ; Baryon:???) Comes with 4.01 Firmware Installed.

Those are the PSP that absolutely can't get CFW

that's not true ... only the last one in that list can't get CFW ... the TA-088 v3

v1 and v2 can definitely have CFW installed.

if you're running OFW there's no way to tell which you have without attempting to install CFW or opening the PSP.

well we can agree to disagree cause V2 is not iffy. I have a v2 and i did nothing special it CFW'd easily.

only v3 is unhackable v1 and v2 are no problem.

did you drag the psp and 150.pbp files to the root of your memory stick and press yes to all??

if you have done that it should be on your psp go to games and memory stick and look for it
hey i chose MUX UPDATE 2.0 by KSBO on the games menu memory stick, but a screen came out "The game could not be started. (80020148)
why is this so? )):

Make sure you have followed the guide step for step and installed the custom firmware. The Game Could Not Be Started usually indicates you have Official Firmware which can not start unsigned code. Ifyou do have the Custom Firmware Installed then go to Recovery Menu and make sure the kerenl for game folder is set to 3.71 kernel.

You place ISO/CSO files in the ISO folder.

I have a question.

I have download the files and in ADD_ON folder I have three files psp,150,395. what do I do. And I start doing it and it skip "Press ENTER when it ask to insert new disc (you should already have the Memory Stick in since you just formated it).

It will scan the Memory Stick.

Type Y then ENTER when it ask if your sure you want to format."

Does anyone know anything about this battery?

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12472

Will it work aswell as the datel tool?

I only ask as if its good then it'll probably work out cheaper for me.

ya a lot of people order through there that battery should work just fine...

keep in mind though they are located in hong kong and it could take several weeks if you order from there... unless perhaps you are close-by to hong kong that is.

oh, actually ive followed your instructions accordingly, but what appears on my pandora menu is quite different from what is on your pandora menu.
does that mean that i did not install the custom firmware correctly?
