Once I have the pandora's battery and the magic memory stick together, do I need to turn the PSP off completely (like holding the power button until it shuts off) before putting in the pandora's battery or just turn it off regularly?

Finally got my Pandora battery from Dealextreme. It took me some time to get 4.01m33-2 installed but I managed to figure it out. I kept getting a PSAR error while trying to get 3.71m33 on my Slim. I recreated the magic memory stick and after a few tries it succeeded. Thanks to all for the great advice, couldn't have done it without you guys.
I just have one more question, what's a good site for ISO's? Also, can anyone recommend a good program/application for the PSP. Basically I just want to see what this bad boy can do now :)

Firstly, thanks for writing this. I'm having a problem with this step:
Now it is time to install the UPDATES/ADD ON files.
Go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run MUX 2.0 application.
When I do this it comes up with the error 'The game could not be started. (80020148)'. Does this mean my memory stick is incompatable? :(

Try holding down the Left Trigger and Triangle at the same time when you boot the update. This should bypass the battery check.

are you even updated to custom firmware?
you may need to change the drivers to sony np9660.
get rid of the lexar and cheap 8gig, and get real ones from the store.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure
got a whole lot more to list . . .

hrmm an unbranded card off ebay ...
ya you should probably try with a legit card ... Sandisk .. that has the "magic gate" label and is purchased from the most legit retailer you can find...
here in the states that's NewEgg but i'm sure you can find something which is 100% reputable over there.
see if you have the same problems with a legit card.

Has anyone come accross this before? I'm trying to make a magic memory stick, with a scandisk pro duo 4GB. I get as far as selecting option 4. It extracts 7 files to the root of the folder on my computer however nothing is written to the stick!
I get a message saying
" Easy installer by HC og Xi-Bit
Files Completed/added by Xi-Bit
Icon made by CraQkeY
Rest and most, made by Noobz Team, Team C+D, Dark_AleX, Booster og HellCat!
Press any key to continue . . ."
pressing anykey closes the command window.
Does anyone know what is causing this?
thanks
