Please.
You need to read the guide fully if you want to update to latest custom firmware. If you need answers on running homebrew applications or games etc. etc. then use the search feature or ask in a new thread. Most questions you have can be answered already in previous threads made by others.

Has anyone come accross this before? I'm trying to make a magic memory stick, with a scandisk pro duo 4GB. I get as far as selecting option 4. It extracts 7 files to the root of the folder on my computer however nothing is written to the stick!

I get a message saying

" Easy installer by HC og Xi-Bit

Files Completed/added by Xi-Bit

Icon made by CraQkeY

Rest and most, made by Noobz Team, Team C+D, Dark_AleX, Booster og HellCat!

Press any key to continue . . ."

pressing anykey closes the command window.

Does anyone know what is causing this?

thanks

I want to mod my phat PSP firmware version 3.90

Do I have to downgrade or can I start doing the Pandora Battery stuff right away? Basically, I haven't done any modding or anything to my PSP so I want to start the guide right away and want to know if its possible without firmware version 1.50(i have 3.90).

Also, what size memory card do you recommend? (I want to put a lot of emulators/roms <GBA/NES/SNES>, as well as PSP games mostly, maybe like 100 songs if I feel like it)

Aaaaand one last question (sry lol)
I have a 1GB memory stick now. Say I modded my PSP with it, and later I decide I want a bigger one like 4GB. Could I simply just drag all my files from the 1GB into the 8GB one and then it would work? Or would I have to mod my phat psp AGAIN to get it to work?

sry for n00bish questions :p if you need help with ipod touch modding msg me!

Not to be rude, but this thread is starting to junk up with repetitive posts about IPL issues. These questions have been solved within the tread but still it continues to mount up. If users would at least skim the 63 pages that now exist, it would greatly limit the amount of posts concerning IPL troubles.

Hi,

Is the Univer_File.rar the only file required to be downloaded?

Some guides requires a C+D Pandora's tool, the Despertar del Cementerio version x and the OFW.

Does the Univer_file.rar includes all of these already?

The guide shows CFW up to 3.95GEN. Is there a Univer_file.rar that has the 4.05 CFW?
Thanks!

I have not added 4.05 TDP because it is not by Dark Alex. I know GEN isn't either but will wait till M33 is updated before adding the next CFW to the package.

I tried this today. I got this far:

From the ADD_ON folder, I copied the PSP (folder) and 1.50PBP into my memory card. Selected yes to all, etc.

I didnt copy the 395.PBP in that same ADD_ON folder, because the guide didn't say to do so.

Now I can't even use the X button. Literally, it doesn't work. I kept pressing it and it just does nothing. And I have to go to the "Game Menu Memory Stick" section of my PSP to continue with the guide, but I can't even use the X Button so I can't! :/

Please help!!!

EDIT: I have to take the battery out to turn it off. When I try to turn it off the normal way, the screen goes blank but the green light stays on. WTH is happening to my PSP? :/

Ok, I got my memory stick made. It is definately working as I had a friend test it. However, when I plug in my TOOL battery, nothing happens. It's supposed to turn on automatically, correct? I don't even get a flashing light or any indication. There is no response to the power switch.

When I use the mains to boot the PSP with the TOOL battery in, the Battery Information screen does not have any info on the charge level etc, however the battery icon in the top right hand side of the screen is there and shows a full battery.

I'm on OFW 4.05.

Why isn't the battery working? It's the proper Datel TOOL Battery. It's the phat one, but I was assured it would work in the PSP Slim I have, and it does seem to be recognised by the PSP when I plug it in/out under mains power (by the appearance of the battery icon mentioned above).

The newer Slim PSP systems coming out can not be modifed yet. Due to new motherboards.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
So the best thing to do now is to use this guide to downgrade and then upgrade to 4.05 separately using DC7?

What is the likelyhood of a fix arriving?
