Cheers amte.
It might be allot to look through but question like this that can be answered in previous post is the reason why there are 60+ pages. As well do the steps under trouble shooting.
The trouble shooting is in the guide. Take the time to read and maybe you can find it and your answer.

As I said before read the previous post that have been made.
I know a simple yes or no would be allot easier but what would that teach? More laziness is what it would teach. Especially since your answer is in RED at the start of the guide. As well listed under Trouble Shooting and talked about often in the previous post.

Plug the AC Adapter in the PSP first then place the Pandora Battery inside and let it charge for a while.

Thx for te fast reply xD
When i plug my psp ac adaptor in and then my pandora battery my psp indicates that my battery is rechardging, than after 2 sec it stops with recharding and the green led burn for haf a second, than the psp just stopt with doeing anything,
I can press my ac adoptor cable in then my pandora battery, and than trun my psp on, than it boots up normally, and when i go then to systemsettings and battery information my psp say's it is chardged for 97 procent

Right so it appears i have a fake memory card unfortunately, getting a new one is not much of an issue but im told my motherboard might stop me using CFW. I have looked around and it says you can tell by opening the UMD door and looking for a code on the motherboard.
However upon doing this there seems to be some sort of casing in the way. Its a psp slim by the way.
Any ideas as i need to know wether to carry on or stop with this whole process.

Try placing the Pandora Battery in first then plug in the AC Adapter and turn on the PSP (have the Magic Memory Stick in and see if it boots to Pandora Menu).
If it dosen't then you more then likley have a defective Pandora Battery.

Get a hold of the place you bought it from and tell them it was defective. See if you can get a replacement.

Hi larrylje,
I want to thank you for this guide. I used this guide to downgrade my PSP slim from OFW 3.93 to CFW 3.71 M33.

Originally posted by locobrown: larrylje, I wanted to comment about those defective Datel batteries that many users have been posting concerns about within this thread. The batteries are not defective, in a way there are but at the same time they are not.
I was able to charge the battery only once I used it on a fat PSP but when I attempted to use it on a slim, the battery gauge was at 82% and just like that it dropped to 0% I couldn't believe it I saw the battery gauge drop and eventually enter sleep mode. The PSP Slim had killed my datel pandora battery it could no longer retain its charge. It didn't matter if I placed it in the fat or the slim the battery can't be charged. The gauge doesn't fill one bar, under battery info the gauge reads zero and says "External charge complete". I thought I wasn?t going to be able to ever use pandora until I got a new battery. I was mad because I had a brand new slim and still running OFW. I decided to experiment ways has to how I could resurrect the battery. I discovered that even though the battery was dead and still is, it could still enter into service mode by using the AC adapter.
At this point, the battery is in life support and when unplugged the PSP turns off a few seconds after. To install CFW I had to first put in the MMS, the battery and then plug in the AC adapter. The orange lamp didn?t light after about a minute, about another minute later the lamp turned green and that?s when the PSP finally booted into service mode that allowed me to finally install CFW.
I don?t know how the battery lost its charge I only used it once on my fat. I put the battery away and used it a second time to install CFW on my slim. Those who have said that the battery can?t be charged should try the steps that I have just stated within my little story. The battery won?t ever retain power but under life support it will do what it was designed to do. One last thing, keep the AC Adapter plugged to the power outlet while its flashing until you have completed the installation.
This is my story about the Datel Battery.

A processor or graphics engine update maybe? Sony maybe realizes that non-pandorable PSP's equals: no hardware sales. PSP are being sold like hot bread, but not so many software sales. In order to balance such down fall, CFW needs to be the focal point that currently promotes sales, that's a strong valid argument. I've purchased 1 fat and 2 slims PSP's so far, I'm waiting on the 3000.

If you have CFW you will be able to run UMD games up until newer games require a FW higher than the current CFW 4.01 When that happens, you will need to upgrade your FW if you want to run the game from UMD or you can extract the iso and run it from the MS. Its better to run the games from the MS, load times are 5 times faster. Who wants to carry 45 UMD discs around in your backpack? I wouldn't. That's why I carry all my games in iso form on two 16GB MS.

There is nothing to this PSP modding thing. The developers do all the work and all we go to do is learn how to use it safely. This guide does just that, I let my 10 year brother mod his PSP on his own, he wanted me to flash it for him. I said, "search the forums I want you to learn how to do it" and he found this this page. Anyone can do it, all you need is a little know how and determination.

Yes, its real easy. Press "select" it will load the M33 VSH Menu within XMB go down to "USB Device" and change it to "UMD Disc". That is if you have it enabled. To enable it, boot into the recovery menu and enable it. Now within XMB enable USB mode, instead of showing the MS contents is will boot into the UMD. Now all you do is copy the iso and paste it onto your desktop. Its better to play from the MS, load time are 5 times faster and you don't have to deal having to change the discs. Load times are almost non-existent, game play is much more enjoyable. I like to carry all my games with me even though I don't play them all. 45 UMD is a lot to carry around so I compress them into cso's. Some games lag when compressed, so just leave those in its original iso form. Those that do not, leave them as cso's.
