Hi All,

I have some questions related to PS3 YDL and how it harnesses the PS3's power/capabilities.

I am looking to install YDL (I know how) but wanted feedback from anyone who had already used it .

1. Can the PS3 HDD partitions be a 50/50 split or whatever the end-user specifies?
2. Can YDL use the HDMI and/or component AV outputs?
3. Can YDL use the optical digital out connection for sound?
4. Can YDL read from external Hard Drives (assuming YDL is installed on the PS3 internal HD)?
5. What is the max and min known resolutions for YDL?
6. Are there any external device limitations with YDL?
7. Can YDL use the PS3 wifi adaptor?
8. Are there are major bugs or issues that YDL on PS3 the have been encountered?

Thank you in advance to anyone who can answer some or all of the questions.

1.No the ps3 use 10GB for Linux and The rest of the space for ps3 or vice versa.
2.yes you can use hdmi, component and composite, check here for instructions to install ydl on an sdtv, http://ps3wiki.qj.net/index.php/YDL_on_SDTV
3.yes optical output does work, check here for instructions http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/show...69&page=2&pp=15
4.yes ydl can read external hard drives, you can setup a shared external hard drive with the ps3 if you so desire.
5.Minimum Resolution is 480i maximum is 1080p
6.it depends what the external device is
7.yes ydl supports the ps3s wifi.
8. nothing major. but if you don't know what you're doing everything becomes an issue.

PLEASE someone help!!! How the heck do I UNINSTALL YELLOW DOG LINUX. I did a full format and then restored my PS3 telling the system to partition all of the hard drive to the PS3 game OS, but ydl is still on the ps3 as another OS!!! What is going on?
