I overheard a rumor at work, a guy with a CFW on his PS3, he stated that it was so secret that whoever made it changes the URL of the page, I dont know if this is real or not, but he stated that he is able to play PS2 back up copies of his games on this CFW, just like if playing on the PSP, can someone find out, know, have heard of this so SUPPOSED secret?
Let me know I already asked the guy to get me the site or at least the files to do it, he said that its an update you install to from 1.80 FW and you need to be carefull, cause if you download the update from the internet, it blocks your IP and your PS3, making it impossible to play online.
OK, think logically here. If someone wanted to keep it a secret why would they put it on a web page in the first place. As for your seconds paragraph which makes it seem like it could be true all of that is common sense it doesnt take a genius to figure out that Sony will block you're ip if you're caught.
I know on the update, what I mean on the first paragraph is that the creators change the url website from time to time to not get caught, as soon as I get some info I will get back to you at least a picture from his PS3! That will prove whatever he makes.
No offence Drakex,but what you heard was rubbish,if there was Custom Firmware out there we would ALL know about it,i even think it would be on the news on TV and in the papers,however it is true that "copied games" can be played on the PS3 through modification.
