When you select the 3.71m33 update, Look for the flashing light next to the analog stick. Once it stops flashing, you can go to exit. Hope that solved the problem.

Ok, I just upgraded my PSP from 3.40 OE-A to 3.52 M33-4 using the method in this thread.
I use to be big into homebrew, but havent been intrested in the last year or so, pretty much since 3.40 OE-A was released.
So am kinda new, as in, re finding the rules of PSP upgrading, lol.
Long story short, when I try to upgrade above the 3.52 M33-4 am on now, to any higher, affter the black screen with write writting coming up, confirming upgrading and what not, I see a Sony PSP user agrement thing, sonfirming the upgrade of firmwear.
I have said no each time, cus it seems like it is going to instal 4.01 not 4.01 M33.
Or, does it still show the agreement page these days, even when upgrading to custom firmwear?
Thanx in advance to any one who answers!

And accepting it will still install the custom, not official firmwear, right? =D

hi all, thanx everyone for the efforts u do,
well 1st plz be patient on me, i'm not that expert yet in these stuff
now simply i follow the guide
i'm on 3.80m33-5 .. and when i run the mux file and try to choose, it takes ages and the memory light doens't stop flashing..
how long should i wait? i'm trying to go step by step to 4.01m33-3
so i'm tryin' the 3.90m33-3 now..
any ideas of what might be going on? the light doens't stop flashing at all, thus i can't continue.

3.80 M33, 3.90 M33 and 4.01 M33 will take longer to flash. Just let it flash till it stopes.

alright sir :)
thanx again ..
one more quickie question ..
do updates have anything to do with remote start via internet?
before i even install a CFW, i used to use it 100% without troubles, either via private network, or via internet.
but now i can use it through only private network ( i know its not the right thread to talk about it and i'm sorry for this ) but just wanted to ask since u guys experienced all the updates.. and maybe u know sth about it ...
thank you again (a special thanx to u larrylje)

I will update the guide when other compatible homebrew comes out for it (Example: popsloader).
Till then if anyone wants the 5.00 M33 update find a different source for the update.

Wasn't it pretty much just a bugfix update. Nothing to get to excited over. There seems to be a few new minor bugs as well with the 5.00 M33 firmware.

More than that , the psn store is opened ! You can download stuff from psn directly to your PSP. Well, that good's for me.

I will have to take a look at it.
But hopefully the icon bug is fixed and popsloader and other homebrew compatibility gets released soon.

the pops is fixed, and the 1.50 addon is released. So, I recommend putting this in the guide.

Hey all. Awesome guide. Used it to successfully get to 4.01 on my old, fat psp. Running great! Quick question. Have a new psp that is running official 4.01. . . . .want to run homebrew on it also. Can I just start at the final few steps in the guide? I'm worried that I'm missing something. . . .

You will need to use a Pandora Battery + Magic memory Stick. A guide is linked in the Ultimate Sticky thread for that.
