Ok, here's a question. If my battery was full, and I think that I hit pin 6 with my metal pin while it was under pin 5, and it sparked. I lifted pin 5 after sparks went away, is there anything I can do? And please don't comment with, "you shoulda used a toothpick, cuz it doesn't conduct" lol!
O btw, I have the same battery and followed the guide in the following video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=i-t22RPG0ig&feature=related
Thanks for your time :).

You shouldnt have to use the power button... When you insert the batt your power light should be litup green.
Question tho did you open the battery straight out of the box and do this??? If so you may want to use your ac adapter and just plug in your batt in there and see if it turns ember.. may need to charge it. i know mine did this too and that was the fix.

Did you leave it plugged in to charge for a few hours?
Plug the AC Adapter into the PSP then add the Battery if the charge light comes on let it charge for a few hours then try.

uhh, do u seriously think that a few sparks and a little bit of smoke could have drained a full battery? I will definitely try this 2moro when I get my power cord back lol. Any other suggestions to try?

Sorry I read it wrong. I thought you had said it was just out of the box. But I see now you said it was at MAX charged,

http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z189/drew00629/battery.jpg this is from his guide http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-hardwar...ut-fat-psp.html
but what matters here is, i cut the same pin as the video said and as this picture shows . what i did wrong was that before the 5th leg was lifted (pin), i touched my metal pin to both 5 and 6.
i guess you did that
they say that if your battery is drained out and if you touch pin 5 and 6 nothing would happen
but i dont believe it i guess you FRIED your battery
or not since you said the psp reads the battery
i have a question
does your power led turn on
with out the battery and just you AC adptor is there
can you us a picture
yo!
