My setup:
3.1U firmware
Wiikey with 1.9g update
Game installed the entire update and now I have the extra 2 channels. Everything else, including the wii settings still works.
Good thing I took a year of japanese and was able to navigate most of it. Sadly the game errors after beating classic and the first level of subspace are true.
Awesome game and I can't wait for the wiikey update for my legitimate copy coming next week.

Just finished downloading. I've got an NTSC Wii with NTSC Wiikey, version 1.9g, and Wii has 3.1U firmware. I plan on burning it on a standard DVD-R in ImgBurn, without using brickblocker, or patching the file to NTSC. Then, I'll fully do the update when it's offerred. Based on what everyone has said, this SHOULD result in me being able to play the game, without even semi-bricking my Wii. I'll post what happens.

muzzk check your pm!!
i don't know what is up. my wii is on crack. i have 3.1u with wiikey working 1.9g with smg working. i burned on good discs at good speed but update fails at 15% and disc wont work. i patched disc with wiiblocker and that one worked. so it is like my wii did the pulling the plug trick on itself. execept it looks like i have both of the PAL channels and the japanese news channel. do you think it will update correctly when i get my official us copy of brawl?? all updates have worked no problem so far until now.

Also anyone that has the ISO downloaded already, can you tell me how long it took for you?
I just started my Azumi one like an hour ago and im at 1.1%. so Im thinkg of spending the 10 bucks and getting a premium at Rapidshare.

Just a followup: Did everything I said in my post (although I did patch the ISO to NTSC just incase), and the game runs, and I'm still at 3.1U with no bricking after completely doing the update.

So, you can see that I've posted earlier tonight with hopefully allot of helpful info for everyone still looking to use the single layer version that came out this morning.
update
I accessed the one from usenet, and followed the instructions regarding the DL and burning methods that were mentioned by the IRC channel. I burned 2 copies of the iso, one that used wiibrick blocker and one without. Then I made sure my wii was updated normally before I started. I used the 15% method to avoid the channel problem. I will admit that it was pretty sketchy at first and required some common sense trial and error within the rules of the process. Mine differed from the expected norm, so yours might as well, even possibly differ from mine, but ill explain exactly what I saw happen for it to work for me.
I put in the non BBed version first like normal, nothing read. I put in the BBed version and got to the wii game start for the game, but it blacked out and froze the system forcing me to pull the system plug. This may have been repeated a second time, but on another run of the non BBed version, it spun and went almost instantly to an update prompt (I swear even before the image showed the disk go in). I ran the update and prepared for the 15% unplug, but it showed a "update failed) almost right after beginning. I likely repeated the first process again and this time the nonBBed version got to the update, and went past where it last failed. It got a fast speed going, such that noticing the 15% mark was difficult, once I noticed this, I simply pulled the plug, which happened to be literally a split second after another "update failed" notice came on the screen. I was nervous, but followed the instructions and tried the BBed disk, which now was able to get past the area where it previously blacked out. I got a warning, but it was just to disconnect the nunchuck. There are auto save options I think at the first startup, so find a translation, or else youlll see it difficult to save (somehow mine started to save my data at some point, no idea what made it change its mind about that, since the game setting have no memory option).

i just bought a one month premium account and was able to download rapidshare 25 at a time, all 45 in an hour. the torrent didnt take long either though. i reburned the disc and mine updated okay now. that scared me. if you dont have a premium rapidshare and dont wanna spend 10 bucks id recommend just using the torrent.

If there is a DL for the ISO on a public knowledge download site like rapidshare, could you explain where you found the link and if it is a good method? I would try to make it in a more accessible form if it needs it still.

u said u dloaded "25 at a time" with rapidshare premium, do u mean u speratley dloaded the .rar files, like, u dlaoded 25 .rar parts at the same time by clicking on the link, going to rapidshare, start the dload, and so on for 25 parts?
OR
did u somehow easily dload 25 at a time?
I want to know for future dloads using rapidshare premium cuz i individually clicked on each .rar part link and had to dload all 45 parts like that, very annoying and tieme consuming... -_-

my friend clicked on each download one at a time. i merely meant that it would only allow 25 parts to be downloading simultaneously, even with the premium account. anone know when a dual layer dump will be coming? that would be grand...

can some please help please, ok so i just finished downloading the Azumi Brawl but my wii isint region unlocked, how do i do that?? i dont understand how to filechop so does anyone have a link to where i can just download a config disk and just burn it right away and it works instead of filechoping it and all that??? please i'm sooo close help me!!!!

I just wanted to confirm that the rapidshare brawl DOES work on NTSC-U wii with wiikey installed and 1.9g with hacked 1.3 region ovverride.
I used the 10-15% trick with an unmodified ISO (brickblocker)
Then using a Brickblocked ISO, I play the game.
bottom of page 22 is the best info for getting this thing to work, good luck everyone else.

Did 10-15% trick (no dual channels)
Then inserted Brickblocked game (worked)
I used the SSBB X TMD file
No side effects or bricking of any kind to my Wii. The game works. I've only played multi player thus far.
