1. As far as we know, they're still trying to find an original copy of Brawl so that they can work on making the new firmware.
2. No confirmed dual-layer yet, as far as I know. But there definately isn't a confirmed one on the internet yet. However, there are programs that seem to be able to rip Brawl out already.
3. No saves yet.

Man you guys are so helpful. Currently I stopped my torrent at 24% and am now downloading the 45 files.
I have Nero. I thoguht I just had to select ISO type on the sidebar and set the burn speed to low and just put the ISO file on the disc. Is that incorrect? Also I was planning on doing that same method for the 1.9g-beta.rar disc and the config1.3 disc. So help me out there is ya can. Thanks
Also when I have my Wiikey installed but I havent yet put the 1.9g or the config disc on a disc yet to run on my Wii. Which one do I do first?

Official Wiikey Resources
Those of you looking for the 1.9g Wiikey update and the 1.3 config disk, here are links to the files. I was able to get them from the google cache of the official site.
(If the extracted images are smaller than 1.35gb, please, filechop theem before burning them to DVD)
A) Update your Wiikey to the Latest Firmare:
1.9g beta fix
B) IF things do not work quite right, you need to turn REGION OVERRIDE On using Config Discs:
Config 1.3 (Config 1.2 - Use this if 1.3 doesn't work)
If neither Config 1.2 and Config 1.3 works for you, then use the HACKED 1.3 DISC to turn the REGION Override back ON.
C) If your Wiikey is not responding to either Config Discs or Update ones, then try to revive it by using the Wiikey Recover Discs below:
1.9b Recover

I'm sorry if this was said repeatedly before, but could someone help me get the game to work? I burned it on a DVD-R and I patched it with a Brick Blocker. I updated my Wii and it still doesn't work. I use Wiikey. Could somebody help?

for burning .iso files like this. a very good free program that works excellent is imgburn. google it. don't burn faster than 4x. i was getting some weird read errors with the smash iso and i reburned at 1x and works great. make sure data verification is on.
on another note... what has everyone unlocked in the single-layer brawl so far?? i have marth, falco, ness, luigi, and snake so far for extra characters. for stages i have the old pokemon stadium, luigi's mansion, fire emblem castle thing, and maybe another. HAS ANYONE UNLOCKED CAPTAIN FALCON IN THIS?? I know it crashes after classic but somehow mine managed to remember I had beaten it and I was able to earn Marth so I want to know how and if people have gotten captain Flacon because I miss him.

Can anybody with an OpenWii chip confirm that the iso works without problems for them? Does the 10-15% pull trick work with it?
I have an OpenWii chip and I'm kind of cautious about full-bricking my wii

In my situation I had to put the hacked 1.3 disc in.
Then it asked me for a base disc.
I pushed eject and removed the hacked 1.3 disc.
The screen never changed.
Just continued asking for a base disc.
I then inserted the 1.3 config. NOT HACKED.
Thats how I was able to turn region override on.
Reboot and it will read the game disc.

I did use Imgburn and I burned it at that speed. Do I need a Region Unlock or maybe my Wiikey isn't up to date? The last time I updated it was to get SMG to work.

hi. i have a us wii with a wiikey 1.9g installed.
i downloaded brawl and did the 10-15% method.
i put in the brickblocked brawl disc after i did the method, and it loaded fine. but now all i see is a white japanese text box with two options both written in japanese. i assume it has something to do wih the save file?
does anyone know which side i should select? right or left?

If you have ntsc/u wii then you probably need to region override to on.

i dont see why you wouldnt be able to. apparently all the update is is dual layer support, so i would be more worried about unplugging it at 15% and messing dual layer support up. i let mine update and all that happened is now i also have the PAL and JAP weather and news channels which i can't use, but think are hilarious because my whole front page is basically them now. lol dont use regionfrii. unnecessary.

ichigo 41 that is the answer i want to know if you use the backup and then do the update will you be able to play your orignal game but no one has gotten back to me yet on that. saddly i dont have an orignal and i really dont want duplicate channels or a half updated wii.

I put the config disc in my Wii and turned Region Override on, but the game still doesn't work. I can see it on the Channel, but when I start it up, it just goes black.
