The tutorial could be a half a page long and it would still spiral out of control. The thread has turned into a where is this and where is that... if you are new to this you may want to do a refresher read in the other how to wii threads. And of course, this is just my opinion.

Agreed - even a new thread would spiral :) The plus side is the first page could least a synopsis of what works. Though the first page can be edited on this one.
I'd do it but 2 problems - I have a Super Bowl party to go to :) and 2nd my current Wii is unmodded so I can only rarely on what others post.
I'd also add if you are new to torrents - check out Afterdawn's forum on p2p - plenty of tuts there.
For rapidshare and megaupload - it's really very simple - download ALL the files then use WinRAR to extract the 1st one only. rar guide

Iso from usenet(Dairantou_Smash_Brothers_X_INTERNAL_JAP_WII-TMD), burned 2 copies 1 brick blocked. System fully updated 1.9g wiikey 3.1U NTSC. Put in non-brick blocked game, updated until it started to go fast like 15-20%. No dupe channels, put in blocked copy runs perfect, opening screens are a little weird to navigate but other than that shit is all good. Good link here for translations of all menus, nice screenshots:

Ok guys sorry I didn't update you last night.
the rapidshare one worked well.
I watch this thread pretty close so here are my steps:
1)make a copy of the iso for back up(just in case)
2)patch it w/regionfriid
3)burn
4)patch the same regiofriid one w/brickblocker
5)burn
so u have disk1 w/regionfriid and disk2 w/regionfriid/brickblocker
6)put disk1 in. It will prompt you to an update.DO it
when you fell it's about 10-15% unplug the power cord.
7)now no dual extra slot whooo hoo
8)put in disk2 and start the game
ENJOY!!!
NOTE: I have 1.9g and have my wii to the latest firmware.
I patch the isos to be on the safe side.
Intro vid works but i'm not sure about the other ones.
I heard wifi works so i'll try it.

Glad to help with my experience. Seems like there are alot of people on here that need to learn to read and not ask the next man to hold his **** while he pees. And I'm not saying everyone at all because I learn so much out of this forum in all it's categories, so there are some great minds in here. But this thread could have been about 600 posts shorter.

It's the Single Later version, only Brawl mode works, along with a few other things.
You can do two things, update your 3.1e/3.1u Wii with the update on the disk, the only thing you get is dual channels of News/Weather. Also you can try the 15% trick, which I won't be explaining. Just look back a few pages.

15% Trick Works, no need for config disc if you set over-ride on initally which I dont know why anyone woouldnt have.

Hey wassup guys, i never post on this stuff just read but i really need some help here. got a question and will appreicate it if u guys could help me answer it.
I just got a wiikey installed today and have had all the updates for the system, i have a version 3.1 firmware so i was wondering if i have to do all that crap everyone else is doing and having trouble with to prevent a partial brick such as using brickblocker, the 15% method and whatnot?, i dont mind duplicate channels as long as my wii isnt semi bricked. thx (=.

guys I just got my single layer copy to work on My Wii yesterday. I have a Jap Wii 3.1J with Wiikey 1.9g. I did the update so I was sondering, could I play my legit copy when get it today or would it still not work?

After second reboot seems that I now have a duplicate weather channel, not that it's something that really bothers me but I hope at some point I can get rid of it. Other than that everything is running smoothly no other problems.

I can confirm that the Japanese rip of Super Smash Bros Brawl works on a Pal console.
I downloaded the 5GB version of Brawl from a (very!) popular torrent site. The torrent was called "Dairantou_Smash_Brothers_X_INTERNAL_JAP_WII-TMD"
Although the torrent site said there was only 50 seeds there were, in fact, a lot more and I downloaded it within six hours on a regular 8MBit/sec ADSL line.
I ran WiiFrii on it (but not BrickBlocker) and then inserted it into my Wii and did the 10-15 per cent trick on it. Then the game worked fine. Out of curiosity I ran the whole update, which gave me two extra channels, but the game worked fine too. At no point was my Wii semi-bricked.
I have a Wii bought in the first month of its launch in the UK, updated to 3.1E. And a Wiikey updated to 1.9g.
I had a lot of frustration navigating the menus until I realised that you have to hold the controller like a NES controller (on its side) and use the "2" button to proceed (instead of "A").

I got about 6 hours on the game as of now and I have like 6 characters unlocked already; that?s one character an hour. I thought that's way too fast to be unlocking characters so I went here to check the criteria for unlocking the hidden characters:

Sorry if you can't read Japanese but I'll give you an example. Luigi I got last night after about 2 hours of play. I needed to play 800 rounds to get him in VS mode. Why is he already unlocked? Is it because I only have one layer of the game? Is that making characters unlocked very fast? With the rate I was going last night I?m thinking I'll have all of the characters unlocked by end of the day I think.
