Evening all!
I have a question/problem with my PS3 and wi-fi connection. I unfortunately live in an area where dsl is not offered and cable has crappy connection speeds. The city just installed a wireless network around the city and the connection works great with my laptops but the PS3 can find the connection but is unable to find a connection to the internet once it obtains an IP address. Has anyone had this problem or offer any advice to correct this? Thanks in advance!

do u need a hexcode or pass phrase to gain access to the network? that could be the problem if thats the case.

Yes you do. I was wondering if that would be the cause. I was also thinking that if I share the connection from my laptop if that would allow me in. I know that it might be stretching it a little but it might be worth a shot.

yep, no problem. just enter that code and you should be good to go

as far as i know, yes you can also share the connection. i don't see why you would need to though.
