I am planning on installing Yellow Dog 5.0.2 on my ps3, and have a few questions:
1) What exactly does the Backup Utility backup? Does it save game saves, music, movies... What I really want to know is if my content off the the PSN will be saved like: game updates, my Warhawk Omega pack, games/demos, ect? Because the d/l times for some of those games/files are horrendous.
2) What is better Fedora or Yellow dog? I read that Yellow dog is just a version of Fedora, but I'm not sure which one is best in terms of functionality, efficiency, and applications.
3) I have a 200 GB (NTFS - maybe my problem?) USB HDD (Regular HDD in an external enclosure) and my PS3 wont recognize the hdd when I plug it in - Any suggestions? the drive works fine on my PC, This isn't that big of a deal since I can use a friend usb hdd if unnecessary, but it would be cool to have for the future.
I think that's about it, I have been researching these topics all afternoon and have run out of patients, so I appreciate any help any of you can offer me.
i am not shure is you can back up your psn content but to install a os you will need to format your ps3 hdd so you can make a partition(10gb) for the os and make shuer you have a usb mouse and keyboard
